Love the series, but this book is weak.
The plot and character development are weak in this book. Sarah McCarty could have done so much more with the depths of the characters. The plot should have been deeper also. Even though I like this series I was very disappointed with this book.

The last Johnson brother, Slade, finds his mate in Jayne the researcher. Jayne believes that her research can end starvation, but Sanctuary believes they can weaponize her research. Slade rescues her in time, and Jayne finally helps little Joseph who isn’t thriving.
Gilbert does a good job of narration.
