    "LOVED IT !!!!!"

I loved this book... A very nice twist on the paranormal.... I love the bloody action, the emotional spots that will bring you just at the brink of tears, and the VERY HOT SEX!!!
Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.... Way to go Eve Silver I have been waiting for a series that would grab me like Laurell Hamiliton's Anita Blake and Mary Gentry or Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter

    "A surprise Sins delivers"
If you could sum up Sins of the Heart in three words, what would they be?

I think summing it up in three words is a little hard for this one. This book introduces you to a different world. So I would say long, different and good are the words I would use. Not much of an endorsement but I did like the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sins of the Heart?

Dagen defending his love despite his nature

    Which scene was your favorite?

    When Dagen first meets Roxy

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Sins of the Underworld

    Any additional comments?

This book started out slow in the first part . Hang in there and I think you'll enjoy the series. Remember this is the launch of a series so there are things that need to be explained. Maybe a little faster than the author did. But the Dagen and Roxy love story is a good one and worth the credit.

    "Can't get through it."

This is the first book of this genre that I've given up on, and I've read many. It just moves sooo slowly and the narrator doesn't do anything to help it out. I've given it at least 5 hours and figure if it hasn't picked up by now, I might as well give up.

"The reader can really kill the book!"

OMG she is ssoooooooooooooo freakkkkkkkin slowwwwwwwwww. Even in the action scene where people suppose to be running and hurting, she gives no excitement to it at all. Listening to this makes me want to hit the reader's back and tell her to pick up the pace.

Given that the story has a lot of self-thinking and self-strategy... with her reading it just make it seems like these characters are retards who can't seems to think fast enough.

The story also have a lot of characters and the author throwing out names and relations like a tennis ball dispenser. I have a hard time getting to know who is who... maybe listening to it the second time would help... but then again I don't know if I want to put myself through Ms. Savannah Richards' reading again.

My suggestion is go buy the book and read it yourself. You might like it better that way.

    "Vanilla Bean?!"

Is that suppose to be funny? Big turn off to me. Should have delved further in the raving reviews. Not even 20 minutes into the listen and I can't stomach the snide and hey, I get to say it 'racist' remarks.

    "A different type of PNR"

I would have given this a higher rating if it wasn't for the numerous repetitions within the novel. It felt like reading fan-fiction that would be released in bits at a time, where the author needed to remind the reader of what had happened since their last read. At first I didn't mind it, but it became annoying during the character's inner dialogues.

That being said, this book is a great start to an entertaining PNR. I'm glad I'm coming into this novel late because all the books have been written and published and if I'm known for anything, it definitely isn't my patience.

The story sets the stage for four brothers who are sons of Sutekh, God of chaos, and who serve him as soul reapers by harvesting souls for his consumption.

Dagan Krayl is the first born son of Sutekh and this is his book. During a soul retrieval above ground, he finds a young female prisoner (Roxy) desperately trying to escape her bonds. He is captivated by her and begins a dialogue with her that ends in her survival of her unfortunate predicament and his instruction that she go forth and live a normal and safe life. Fate and circumstances has them crossing paths more than a decade later and amongst the confusion, betrayal, battle, and gore they find themselves preternaturally attracted to each other.

There is a lot happening in this novel with many characters that are introduced. The author does a great job of keeping the characters organized and from what occurs at the end of the book, I think the same characters will show their faces in the following novels.
The story is unique, the love story is hot and spicy, and the characters are likable.

I think this story is best read in sequence as this book ends with a cliff-hanger.

    Narrator:
    Savannah Richards
    Performance: 3/5
After I set the narration to 2x speed the book was easier to listen to. Savannah Richards reads this novel really slow so if you can't adjust the speed of your device, you may find her reading pace to be lulling or annoying. Other than the speed issue, she did a good job with the narration

    "Unfinishable!"

Just awful! I couldn't even finish...They just keep getting worst and worst...! Most times I would just push myself to finish... but when they are this bad..I can no longer do it. The narrator isn't that good either, and that just makes a bad book trash.

    Don't waste your credits.
