He's gorgeous, charming, and mysterious. She's beautiful, brilliant, and an open book. Together their chemistry is electric, but will his secrets tear them apart?
Control...It's what Ryan Sloan values most. Control of his business, control of his secrets, control of his days and nights. With the way his life spiraled in the past, he needs to stay in charge of his present.
Giving up control...It's what Sophie Winston craves. After a wildly successful career, she's stepped away from the business world and is now focused on her work as her city's most noted philanthropist. When she meets Ryan Sloan, the chemistry is scorching, and utterly undeniable. Their desire for each other runs red hot. He wants everything she's willing to give him in bed, and she wants him to take her to new heights as only he can.
Soon, he has to have more. All of her - heart, mind, and body. The only trouble is, he hasn't been honest about how he met her and the dangerous connection he has to her brother. When the truth is revealed, he'll have to give more of himself than he's bargained for or risk losing the only woman he's ever let into his heart.
Sinful Desire is book two in the New York Times best-selling Sinful Nights series. Each full-length novel is sinfully sexy, deliciously dirty, and follows a new couple.

If I didn't know better, I would think this was written by a man. I'm surprising myself in saying this, but there was just too much focus on sex and the kind of sex that I don't find hot. Every scene where he was going to masturbate onto her made me cringe. Her loving being tied up while giving him oral sex and her eyes are tearing up from him thrusting too deep down her throat...no thanks. I'm not shy about sex or even playful s&m. This felt way too detached for me. It lacked the human connection & vulnerability that would have made it engaging. I like this author and am surprised how much I hated this book. The story with Ryan's family is intriguing and I'll see if the next one is better.
This series has a little bit of everything. It's a wonderful blend of sexy, naughty, clever funny and suspenseful. Ryan and Sophie had me all kinds of entertained. Plenty of humor making me laugh out loud, some sexy times that were intense and hot and some insanely brilliant plot twists that I never saw coming. The only problem I have with this series not I'm not able to fully connect with the characters emotionally because it's written in third person, but that's a problem with me, not the author or her writing. But I found when I sped up the narration speed to 1.25 I actually enjoyed the story more. Josh Goodman has a great voice and did a great job telling the story. I'm excited to watch the mystery unfold with the rest of the series.
An actual story that you could bother going past 2 hours of listening. The male and female lead characters are putrid. They are weird and pathetic and deserve each other. Her flirting and subservient nature combined with his alpha male 'I will control you" attitude are ridiculous and non-interesting stereotypes. And the email exchanges - oh dear me.
Nothing by this author. I don't know why or how they could write this junk.
Characters that are at least mildly interesting and narration that makes you want to read more, not throw up your lunch.
The storyless, mindless, gratuitous intimate scenes are creepy and a joke at the same time. Didn't make it past the second lot of email exchanges. After enduring the first lot, they did me in on this book.
Josh has wonderful inflection, making the whole experience fascinating and exciting!
I loved this second book in the Sinful Desire series! It was perfectly titled being sinfully sexy, and seductive. Ryan Sloan meets Sophie Winston by chance when he goes to the police station to answer questions about his father's reopened murder case. Ryan and Sophie have instant attraction and chemistry. Ryan has kept his mother's secrets since he was a boy making him feel like he has no control in his life. He has a hard time opening up to anyone but his family. Sophie is an intelligent, successful entrepreneur turned philanthropist. She is planning and organizing constantly and longs for someone to command her so she can live in the moment. Ryan loves how Sophie is confident, direct and a bit naughty. He needs to be in charge of her pleasure because it helps him feel the control he craves. They challenge each other in every way making them perfectly matched. Their relationship grew beautifully, revealing their pasts and secrets, bit by bit. I loved how they worked through their differences and misunderstandings without all the agony and angst. The drama was reserved for the continuing mystery of who might be involved with Ryan's father's murder and his mother's involvement. The mystery and suspense along with the plot twists keep you guessing what will happen next. This story was a perfect blend of an intriguing story, genuine characters, witty and intelligent banter, and scorching hotness! I loved every word in this story and can't wait to read more in Colin and Elle’s book!
Best ending so far of both series! I'm so excited to start the next book! Josh Goodman was an awesome narrator as always! One of my top 3 favorites!
I love reading in all forms...but audiobook gives me that little extra to highlight that experience.
I already listened to it 3 times and more will probably follow.
Why? Because it is an amazing book with great story and hot hot hot characthers and because Josh Goodman does hell of a job narrating it.
Lauren Blakely's Seductive Nights Series.
Ryan's personality and domination reminds me of Clay :)
Ryan's realization about his mother broke me a little bit.
This book is very interesting and intriguing with all the mystery about their family's past which I love in a good book. And all the hot and sensual sex scenes are of the charts!!!
And when all these sexual encounters that were not supposed to mean anything turn into a true love story makes it even sweeter :))))
I can't say I loved it as much as book one Sweet Sinful Nights but it was pretty near.
I really like the way Lauren writes, you can see its not written by a beginner but its still an easy going reading which I appreciate.
And Josh Goodman gives us Ryan in the best light possible.
No, I love both listening to and reading Lauren's books, but Josh Goodman does a great job of narrating this, and several others of Lauren's books.
As with any Lauren Blakely book, there are SO many memorable moments, but one of my favorites is when Ryan realizes the truth behind what happened with his father after visiting his mother at Hawthorn.
Josh does a great job of capturing the personality of the characters, and his voice is a great one for delivering on the sexiness and intrigue of this story.
I just really enjoyed the whole book and cannot wait to hear what happens in the next one.
Love story with a mystery and a little danger.. nothing I live more!
