Publisher's summary

Suzanne Sullivan doesn't need a bodyguard. After all, she's one of the most successful digital security specialists in the world - so she can most certainly take care of herself despite the problems she's been running into lately. Unfortunately, her three brothers don't agree. So when Mr. Way-Too-Handsome shows up bound and determined to protect her, whether she wants him there or not, sparks definitely start to fly. Because she has absolutely no intention of falling for the bodyguard she never wanted in the first place.

Roman Huson has vowed to do whatever it takes to protect Suzanne Sullivan from harm. And her brothers would kill him for so much as looking at her the wrong way. The only problem is that he's never been hired to work for anyone so beautiful, or brilliant, before. Between trying to keep up with her - and working like hell to keep from kissing her breathless - he's up against the most difficult challenge of his life. Especially when it turns out that the passion, and connection, between them is hotter than anything he's ever known.

Round 2 NYC and it gets better

The New York Sullivans’ are back and I fall deeper in love with them. I find that this time Suzanne Sullivan will keep her man on his toes. She was no meek flower waiting to be rescued or protected. She gave as good as she got and I fell in love with her. Suzanne and Roman find that they have more in common than the security business. The sizzling passion, intense heat, and the allure of the forbidden makes for an excellent afternoon of delight. There is something to fall in love with at each new installment. This family makes you feel at home with friends.

Narration from Eva Kaminsky has made me feel like I was coming home. She has that voice the smooths the road and makes it all worth the wait for the next installment. Eva is that staple with the Sullivan clan that lets me know all is well. She makes the characters come to life and gives a deeper connection to the entire world built around the whole family. I love her smooth flow of diction and pacing. I found the audio to be a perfect complement to Bella Andre’s work.

You get your man!

You get your man!

This is #02 of the New York Sullivan's Series, and #16 of the Sullivan's Series.

HEA, NO cheating, NO cliffhangers!

Even though these are listed as being able to be read as standalones, they are connected by characters. I always advise to read in order to get the most out of the experience

Content Warning: It takes them more than half the book to get there, but Yes, there is SEX! Both in thoughts and actions.

♥ Story ♥

This is technically #02 in a spin-off series, but it is also part of the bigger Sullivan world. I did not have any problems, however there are a lot of cameos from past characters so I'm sure if I was up to date on the series, it would of been a boon to me, rather than furious note taking. I do have plans to go back to the beginning and start a new once the 3 book audio tour is over.

We met Suzanne Sullivan back in book #1. She is Drake's older sister, and an IT Genius! She is having some issues with competing tech firms and against her wishes, her brothers hire a bodyguard.

Roman Huson is an old friend of the Sullivan boys, and someone that they have full confidence in protecting their stubborn sibling. Suzanne tries to refuse, but they have set Roman up in the condo next to her, so there is no escape. She instead opts for getting him fired by trying to seduce him, counting on her brother's over protective natures to do the firing for her. Being a coding nerd who rarely dresses up in more than worn jeans, t-shirts, and comfortable shoes, it is pretty obvious to everyone what's up! …Except the men in question who all seem to be completely clueless.

The threats didn't really seem all too serious, being mostly annoying crank phone calls at all hours of the day and multi attempts to hack her servers. Suzanne is a master at her job so she never loses any data, its just a time sink. Once anything serious actually comes of the matter, it is wrapped up so fast that it seemed like a waste of a plot line. There were great moments along the way, don't get me wrong, I was just waiting for something more to happen, and it didn't. It's still worth the credit, and I'm excited to get to the next one to hear, pain in the butt Alec get his comeuppance

♥ Author ♥

Bella Andre stumbled a little with this one, but overall it still had that Sullivan heart and upheld their family creed and motto! Alec's book is going to be soooo good! I can't wait!

♥ Narrator(s) ♥

Eva Kaminsky's performance didn't disappoint. There were a LOT of extra characters this time around with much of the Sullivan brood making appearance for the event toward the end of the book. There was a need for an Irish accent in this one, to which she pulled it off brilliantly!

♥ Audio Production ♥

Normal speed was fine.

Lovely Intriguing Romance with High Stakes

This is a story about the crème de la crème of society. Where one thinks money could solve their problems, it can actually bar them from finding real happiness.

Drake Sullivan, a painter experiencing painter’s block is starting to panic. All his brothers are filthy rich and successful. He is, too, but if this painter’s block continues… Will he ever be able to paint again with the passion necessary to create a great piece?

When he meets Rosa Bouchard, he is captured by her beauty, both in physical form and the spirit which lays beneath her skin. Dying to paint her, he needs to coax her into not running from him. He finds much more in this beauty than he expected, and feels something he never has before.

Rosa is running from past decisions, made to keep her family together, but now the game has turned nasty. Money can’t buy the peace of mind she needs. She’s an emotionally intriguing character who is easy to relate to because many have done things in the past to stave off the worst — a means of survival and don’t know the next step to freedom. Rosa and her mom and brothers have risen to the top of society only to realize how fragile and lonely that apex could be. The changes she needs to make in her life don’t come easily. The story is written compellingly with several threads of rich secondary characters and subplots which gear to the continuation of the series.

Drake is a multi-textured characters, with his own strengths and his inner fragility. Where he is there to support Rosa, he has his own demons to overcome. I really like the way the author brings how important family is into the story.

The narrator is an animated storyteller, with a girl-next-door energy and down-to-earth portrayal of feelings which found me nodding in perfect understanding and sympathy. The author certainly has captured my interest in this most charming series.

A computer genius and a bodyguard! Yes!

I couldn’t wait to read “The New York Sullivans” book 2. I had so many high expectations and most of them have been met accordingly. Bella Andre has created 2 other characters with their own troubles and issues to face. I see a small resemblance in Suzanne and Rosa, but Roman and Drake are totally different.

There is that instant attraction between them from the first moment they meet. Even if she doesn’t need Roman’s services, she more than welcomes his presence. As for Roman, he may not agree with her brothers’ approach to hire him behind her back, he feels the need to protect her from whoever is trying to hurt her and her business.

Suzanne has lived under her brothers’ vigilant eyes. Nobody is good enough, nobody is perfect for their sister. So she created an empire none of them could touch in her IT company. She struggled at first, but managed to do all on her own, her ambition being what kept her going. Now she has the respect of her employees, unimaginable working schedule and to top that, charity as well. She has no time to deal with anonymous calls (literary no time)! However, she forms a plan to get Roman’s attention and persuade him to quit his job, using her feminine charms.

Roman’s past is not one to be proud of, having to fight for his future and a father who did not know how to be one truly. He is a successful bodyguard with nothing that could take him away from an accomplished mission. Well, except his new customer. She is untouchable. She is not only a customer, but also one of his friends’ sister. So hands off! Right?

Suzanne’s determination is visible in her efforts to win Roman. But there are some aspects that I wanted to know more about or that I feel were not closed as I would have expected. Roman’s issues with his father were quickly handled, whereas I think there was a lot of potential there and as well with the threats against Suzanne – this item was wrapped in the end in a couple of hours maybe. The mentioning of Suzanne’s mom’ leaving was confusing as well. I always thought she left them, while in reality something else happened there.

The narration was great, as well as in the first book. Eva Kaminsky has the perfect voice for a kind and gentle woman like Suzanne and I like the way she did the pauses, when one character interrupts another. It felt natural!

To close up this long review, I was not at all disappointed by “Now That I’ve Found You”, even with all the complaints. I cannot wait to discover the next story in “You Do Something To Me”. I have a feeling it will be the best of the three. Happy Listening J

Hero & Heroine a little annoying

Kaminsky does a good job with the narration here. I was able to tell the differences between characters and it all sounds great. No issue with the emotions or studio production! I wouldn’t say it’s my all time favorite audio, but she’s a great narrator and this definitely adds to the story and makes it more fun to get through. I give the audio a 4.5/5 stars.

With the story I will say I enjoyed a good portion of it, but there were some issues with the two main characters that annoyed me. I thought that the hero was somehow too dumb/clueless in general. And he annoyed the heck out of me! He does have a sort of sad backstory, but it isn’t the worst that I’ve read nor do I think it should have turned him into such a clueless dude lol. With our heroine she is great all around, except for her cheesy moments haha. I’m not a fan of cheese in romances, but I do appreciate her dedication to him and it makes for a lot of sweet moments as well. I give the story a 3.75/5!

I Just May Need My Own Bodyguard

What made the experience of listening to Since I Fell for You the most enjoyable?

Part of the reason that I enjoyed the second book of the New York Sullivans series so much was our narrator, Ms. Kaminsky. She has the perfect voice for those that want to be pulled into a story. She brings this branch of the Sullivans to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Since I Fell for You?

The most memorable had to be when Suzanne told her brothers to lay off. As well as having Roman take a second look.

Which character – as performed by Eva Kaminsky – was your favorite?

With this book it would have to be Suzaanne Sullivan. She may be what is considered a geek but she was learning what it really meant to be a woman. Ms. Kaminsky had a way of showing how Suzanne was vulnerable and a little unsure of herself - especially when it came to Roman Huson.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There wasn't one particular moment that moved me. I just enjoyed this book from beginning to end. From the time Suzanne gets mad at her brothers for overstepping boundaries, to a wedding, to when Suzanne and Roman give us what we want - especially to those of us that are true romantics.

Any additional comments?

I continue to love having Ms. Kaminsky read me the story of the New York Sullivans. She has a way of getting me to relax and listen to what she's telling me. She even made shoveling snow a pleasure.

Ms. Andre has me wishing that I could be a family member of the Sullivans. I want to be there to watch this family celebrate a wedding. I want to be there to see Suzanne fight for the right to be a woman no matter what her brothers want. I want to be there when Roman doesn't know what's hit him where a certain woman is concerned. i love reading this author's work but if I have Ms. Kaminsky reading to me I may just let her continue making me enjoy my days. It's books like this that make me glad that I gave up the radio to listen to a book instead. I am thoroughly hooked.

I love the Sullivans, Bella Andre, And Eva Kaminsky!

I’m officially in love with The New York Sullivans! Since I Fell For You follows Suzanne Sullivan and man do I have a huge lady crush on her. She’s strong, independent, and brilliant. And also a tad...a lot...annoyed that her brothers have stuck her with a bodyguard she doesn’t want. And what a bodyguard! Roman was fantastic! He’s incredibly attractive, driven, and totally focused on he job. Until the job involves Suzanne Sullivan and then all bets are off. Gah! These two were magnificent together. The passion, love, and chemistry oozed from the pages. But I’ve learned that’s typical of a Bella Andre book.

Narration by Eva Kaminsky was once again fantastic. Her voice is mesmerizing and transports the listener to the world of the Sullivans making everything else fall away. I’m so excited for the next book in the series.

An unwanted bodyguard

This is the second book in the New York Sullivan’s series and it can totally be read as a stand alone. As with the first book in the series, I listened to the audio of the book and it was also narrated by the same narrator.
Suzanne’s brothers hire a bodyguard for her behind her back because she has been running into trouble. She feels that she can take care of herself, but they disagree. Will her plans to get Roman, her bodyguard, to quit work or backfire?
Roman will do whatever it takes to protect Suzanne, regardless of how difficult she makes things for him. The last thing he needs to do is have feeling for her because her brothers will kill him if something happens between them. Will he have the willpower to stay professional?
I enjoyed the narration much more in this book. The story also had an element of suspense to it with trying to figure out who was out to harm Suzanne which just added to my enjoyment. I also felt the narrator was able to vary her voice much more in this book and I found some of the voices she did to be great. The different accents were so on point. Unfortunately, I still am not able to give the narration a five star rating as there were still a few areas that I struggled to stay focused to the narration yet the story was a five star. I am looking forward to listening to the next story in the series.
