Publisher's summary

With an empty nest and divorce in hand, Rona decides it's time to explore the fantasies that nourished her through a long, tedious marriage to a man whose idea of outrageous sex was leaving the lights on. At the top of her fantasy list is touring Dark Haven, the BDSM club, but she isn't prepared for the effect of a powerful Dom. When Master Simon takes control and introduces her to toys and sensations she's never felt before, she realizes he could fulfil every fantasy on her list all by himself. But she's vowed to never get trapped in a relationship again.

One of the most popular Doms in Dark Haven, Master Simon has had his fill of eager, shallow, young subs. Rona is older, intelligent, independent, and sweetly submissive. After an evening of intense pleasure and despite her obvious attraction, she refuses to see him again. He needs a way to change her mind. She's not the first sub he's taken on a journey of exploration, but he's beginning to think she might be the last.

Simon Says, "I want more!"

Would you listen to Simon Says: Mine again? Why?

Absolutely! It was hot and wonderfully written.

What does Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are amazing storytellers. They always manage to suck you in from the beginning to the very end no matter what book they're narrating.

Any additional comments?

This was the first book I have listened to by this author, but it certainly won't be the last. Even though this was a short book it kept my attention and still had enough detail so I didn't feel like I was missing something. I can't wait to listen another book by Cherise Sinclair.

Good Short Story

Not my favorite but I still liked it. I did feel the chemistry between the characters. I just wish she had gone more into their personal life, not just the sexy relationship scenes. I guess I just expected a bit more from this author. the performance was great though. -Dink

Was So Excited, Now Disappointed

I was so excited to see a new Cherise Sinclair come out. Then I listened and am now disappointed.. First, although the male narrator's voice is pleasant, it has a distinctive quality that he is unable to change or disguise. It got so bad towards the end that I wouldn't have known who was talking if the story hadn't identified them. Second, it sounded like he was just reading a story out loud. There was no appreciable change in the character's voice throughout the narration. No emotional interest or involvement expressed.
The only reason I gave it a 3 is because the female narrator did a great job. She made Rona, as well as the other female characters, come alive.

I love Master Simon

I loved this novella. It was agreat 3 hours spent listening to Simon and Rona. I so enjoyed how he tested her limits and she wanted too say no but kept agreeing.

My Two Pennies

This is a great read and we get to experience Rona's thoughts and feelings s she's exposed to the BDSM world for the first time. Master Simon is so gentle yet in control of each and every situation. The story gets better and better as these two get to experience scenes together and you feel the connection that's growing. Jumping into book 2 now.

Sorry to say - Narration Very Dissapointing

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Better narration as I could not get in to book and had to quit listening.

Who was your favorite character and why?

N/A

How could the performance have been better?

Very flat and non-engaging I have many of Cherise Sinclair's books from audible and on my kindle, however, I was so disappointment with the narration that I had to stop listening. The women's voices were very exaggerated to a high squeal to a low tone. Wen Ross unfortunately is very mono tone. The Shadowlands was so well done that there is no comparison. I only listened to about 10 minutes and am going to return the book.

Great Story, Needed a better Male Narrator

Would you try another book from Cherise Sinclair and/or Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ?

I would definitely do another Cherise Sinclair book and something by Kai Kennicott. Had issues with Wen Ross' performance however. Was surprised it went past the producer of this audiobook. His performance lacked any enthusiasm or was very bland. He also sounded nothing like I imagined Simon to sound from reading his story originally. Of course that's my personal thing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I actually developed a new appreciation for Rona after reading this book. She seems very independent and compassionate.

Did Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Kai Kennicott did a great job differentiating the characters. I had no problem telling the difference based on her using her different accents and inflections. She was great.

Wen Ross needs some work. I had no idea which man was speaking half the time because I couldn't tell the difference.

Was Simon Says: Mine worth the listening time?

Yes, mostly because it's a great story.

Any additional comments?

Chapter breaks moved too fast. Needs to be more of a pause.

Simon says

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. Over all a good audio book.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it was about a mature woman. Not one of those 18-22 year olds that are so common now a days.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The male narrator should have been replaced. I hated his voice, especially when he voiced Simon. When he was reading the in between parts he was ok. He had a distinctive "Simon Legree" "Dick Dastardly" tone to his voice that really got on my nerves. Female narrator was very good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Simon says: "Are you Ready?"

Any additional comments?

It was a good listen that could have been great with the right male narrator. (Where was Noah?). Still worth listening too. In all fairness, some people really liked the guy. You either loved him or hated him. Sadly, I'm in the later group.
