Publisher's summary

Sent on a dangerous mission into the shadowy world of the Druids, Galen must find a powerful ancient relic to defeat the enemies of Castle MacLeod. But what he discovers is far more powerful - and far more dangerous. A Druid lass whose beauty is as spellbinding as any magic....

Reaghan is the most enchanting woman Galen has even met - and the most enigmatic. She alone is immune to his mind-reading gifts. He alone makes her feel safe and secure. But Reaghan holds a secret power deep inside her that could destroy them both. And if Galen hopes to hold this captivating woman in his arms every night, he must defeat the darkness that draws closer around her every day....

Love this series...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Hands down, yes. The characters are so varied and complex. And the dynamics of their interactions are extremely entertaining.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shadow Highlander?

When Reaghan and the Druids go to McLeod castle, and then all hell breaks loose.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked it when Reaghan started teasing Galen about his eating habits. :P

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Yummy romance

Still in love with the series!

Any additional comments?

I still think this is a great series and love all the mini-plots and the complicated web that Donna Grant has created but I am getting to the point where I need some more action with the overall story or something!

An awesome and thrilling Highland fantasy

I have been so into this series that I've listened to them one after the other - and that's a lot of time to invest in a series but I haven't been disappointed at all. They are all a perfect merging of the paranormal historical romantic and supernatural.

I've said it all before in my other reviews of the previous books in the series but just to recap - brilliant paranormal characters, sexy delicious HHW (hunky highland warriors), awesome and exciting sensuous plot and lots of sub plots that is well written and well narrated.

They do get slightly repetitive if you listen to them back to back like I have but this way I don't forget what's what and who's who and they are all sooooo de lish ous. All the books seem to have the same basic theme - Warrior falls for woman but he fights his attraction until 'something' hits the fan - however, each book has so much more too as they take the story further along to it's final ending (whenever that is).

Worth a credit? I have now spent 5 credits and I don't regret any of them - so that would be a YES.

Galen and Reahgan

This is the fifth book in the Dark Sword series and is a part of the greater Dark World. Donna Grant does create a wonderful world, with many fantastical creatures. So, if you find this book compelling and entertaining, the world does continue and evolve. This series was read as a part of the Audible Escape package.

This is the story of Galen and Reaghan, he is a Warrior that can not touch another without knowing their thoughts. But the beautiful druid with no memories of her past is an exception. Does he crave her because he touch her and not know her thoughts or is more? Together they dig up her past… and only then can they build a future.

Too many teasers

There were two or three new storylines introduced in this book. So much so that the book was left incomplete in my opinion. There's a difference between cliffhangers and just underdeveloped characters and plot. I still enjoyed it

Reaghan and Galen

Galen and Logan were sent on a mission to find an artifact that will help in the fight against Deidre. They stumble upon a hidden Druid Village when they find Reaghan out of the shield by the loch.
Reaghan has no memories of her younger years. The villagers told her that she had a fever and lost all of her previous memories. She feels trapped in the village and wants to leave to go on adventures. But then Galen and Logan arrived.
The druids for not trust the Warriors. But when the wyvern attack then they are talked into heading to MacLeod Castle.
Galen makes known his power that can allow him to read memories by just a touch.
I am loving this series and loving seeing how the Warriors counteract your Deirdre's plans.

Good book, but I hate cliffhangers!

It's worth dealing with the cliffhangers, but I wish authors didn't feel the need to do that. If their book is good enough, and this one is, we'll look forward to the next one anyway.

Couldnt finish this...

What disappointed you about Shadow Highlander?

The Narrator, Sorry Anthony, I guess Im spoiled with Phil G.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Antony Ferguson?

Phil G.

Any additional comments?

Sorry, just couldn't get into the story line with the narrator, He wasn't bad, its just that I much prefer Phil G. as a narrator, so much more realistic!
