I love the narrator! She’s probably my number one narrator. The story was too confusing for me.

I don’t know what to say about this book other than I simply thought it was too convoluted. I can’t even finish it that never happens with me.

🌻Complex world, to learn🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

When a listener starts this book, they will need to be able to focus, as the author introduces her world. It’s an unique world that has types of characters that are a bit difficult to grasp, at first. Perhaps an introduction with the history of this society, at the beginning, could have made the events and types of characters easier to understand.

However, after I figured out what was happening, I did enjoy the story.

The narration was pretty good, although, adding a male narrator and duet narration could have made it outstanding.

Normally, this wouldn’t have been the type of book I would have chosen, however, since it was in the “included “ section, I thought I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did and glad I stuck with it during the world building. I’m moving on to book two, now.

Fantastical Demons

Good demons? I hadn’t considered such a thing. I enjoy the fantasy book that makes me think outside the box. Always enjoy the romance too.

I only tried the book because it was included in the audible package, but I will give the next book in the series a try, so that says a lot all by itself.

Good book

I liked both this book and the narrator. I agree that it does have a complex demon realm to get used to but I still think it's worth the credit. It also had enough romance to keep my interest.

Love the complexities of this story!

First off, the performance was superb!
The story itself was fascinating. I had to concentrate at some parts to understand and catch all of the ins and outs of everyone abilities, but it was worth it for me.
I enjoy having more characters than just a few although some people don't. I personally loved all of them!

DNF

I decided to listen to this one because it had a time limit on it in Audible Included, but its just not holding my attention. I think if I was reading a hard copy it might be ok, but the narrator is far more suited to reading children's books than PNR. The way she portrays the MMC's dialogue is just... Ridiculous. Its over-the-top, which, considering that PNR genre is pretty much always over-the-top by nature, this is just way too much. I made it 3 chapters and I already am irritated by the MCs' dialogue. So I give up. On to the next escapist literature.

Overall, Enjoyed It

This story is incredibly confusing in the beginning. I have to wonder if the written novel has more visual cues to help with changes in the storyline. Things do become better towards the middle of the book and you get a real concept of what's going on and the different characters. There are still points of confusion, but the emotional points of the story and the compelling arc make up for that. It is definitely worth a listen and I will be trying the next one. especially now that I know the world.

Loved the narrator, but the story???

This was free with my Audibles subscription until February so I decided to give it a try. Actually the entire series is available for free on Audibles so it was really tempting. That said, while I enjoyed Renee Raudman's narration (I loved her in the first 3 Hidden Legacy novels by Ilona Andrews so I knew I liked her), the story itself was too long and the will they / won't they romance was drawn out. There is never any explanation as too how Sera will extricate herself from her previous life, and the ending mayhem was a little confusing. Maybe book 2 will shed some light.

Get ready for good and evil to collide.

If you could sum up Seduced by Shadows in three words, what would they be?

Good book overall.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seduced by Shadows?

At the end when she saved herself and Archer in the demon realm. She wouldn't let Archer go and loved him enough to make him stay with her even tho she know it would mean he would still be possesed with his demon. She defied all warrnings but still did her own thing.
She was stuborn but knew what she wanted and wouldn't let things just be the way they always had been. Being the only woman posessed she was going to show the men the way things should be and was going to change at least her future.

What three words best describe Renée Raudman’s voice?

She was ok.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I liked the story line. We all have demons and we all have to fight them but some of us have harder and stronger demons.

Any additional comments?

Wasn't quite sure what Rennn was trying to do with Archers voice. Most of the voices she depicted were good but I didn't like the way she did Archer. It made him sound......hmmm, I'm not sure what it made him sound like but I didn't really care for it.
