    "A Male Perspective"
What made the experience of listening to Secrets of a Summer Night the most enjoyable?

The way in which is was performed was excellent. The story was perhaps a bit drawn out.

If you’ve listened to books by Lisa Kleypas before, how does this one compare?

    First time with this author

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

The way in which her voice portrayed the various characters was extremely well done

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like the way that the story built to a climax. The scene in the music room where Annabelle and Simon have to quietly wait while the musicians practice. The sexual tension and the anticipation is amazing

    Any additional comments?

As a male, I don't usually read or listen to this kind of story. I must say it was very well written and the whole thing was very tastefully written.

    "Great Book!"
What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is the best reader ever! RL + LK = automatic download.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Mr. Hunt considered compromising Anabel again in the same night just for "Insurance" purposes. It was funny and romantic at the same time.

    Any additional comments?

The Wallflowers series is awesome! And once you've finished you have to read The Hathaways . A must read/listen.

    "LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!!"

I had already marked this as a book in my wish list, but when it came up on sale, I went ahead and purchased it. The wit and humor between the Wallflowers made the book enjoyable just to follow the women's friendship. The chemistry between Annabelle & Simon and their love/hate relationship was just an added bonus. The narrator is wonderful, but I've always enjoyed her and I think she does a wonderful job. This story was so fun and romantic and was not just about the love between a man and a woman, but the friendship that was developed between four women. As soon as I finished listening, I looked to see if the story continued and was pleased to see that the story of the remaining Wallflowers are available, and I immediately downloaded the second book. What a delightful series! I'm glad I stumbled upon this book or I would have missed out on a wonderful collection of laughter and love wrapped up in one book!

    "Really, Really Good!"

I am not normally a great fan of historical romance but Lisa Kleypas has won me over! She is a masterful storyteller and draws you into a world so vivid you can see it clearly in your mind's eye. This is the start of a great series with interesting characters and plenty of quick wit. Coupled with Rosalyn Landor's outstanding narration, this is the start of a series sure to keep you entertained.

    "A treasure"

When I saw that some of the Wall Flowers series books are being offered in audiobook format I was thrilled. After listening to this, more than once, I have to give this my highest recommendation possible. If you like beautiful romance, and if you like excellent narration, you will not regret purchasing this audiobook. I am waiting anxiously for the remaining Wall Flower books to become available in audiobook format as well.

Easy to listen to. It's basically a historical romance in the style of pride and prejudice (ish) but with erotica (after marriage of course!)
I enjoyed it - easy listen! Have fun.

Beautifully done. Though, maybe it could have been done with a little more speed. The story was good, just a little slow to begin with or perhaps its just me. But I love their interaction.. so much chemistry even from the beginning. And then after the wedding, goodness, these two doesn't seem to have left that stage yet, even till the end. I will be reading the next one. Want to know more about the Earl.

    "Great start to this series!"
    Any additional comments?

I absolutely love Lisa Kleypas historical romance series. The wallflowers started off with a bang. Annabelle is beautiful, elegant, aristocratic, yet her family is penniless which put her in disadvantage for marriage. Simon Hunt, a self made business man is tall dark and yes dangerous and has tried to seduce her many times over the years until he finally gets his way. That is not the end, rather the beginning of Annabelles seduction by his masterful mind. Simon discovers he has feelings for her, feelings he never thought were possible for him and these come to a crushing crescendo towards the end of the book. The only reason I give four stars to this book is because I wished I got to know Simon a little better, to understand his actions and reactions easier, there was a tiny bit of a disconnect there, but otherwise it was very enjoyable read. The hathaways is by a far cry the best series of this author.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

There were great reviews for this author and the series. I took a chance and was very disappointed. I am amazed readers gave it such high praise. The heroine is extremely spoiled and the story had no plot
