No lingering emotion

Would you try another book from Catherine Coulter and/or Anne Flosnik?

Probably not. I do not care for Anne Flosnik as a narrator. Her nasal voice is about as appealing as fingernails on chalkboard. I was also annoyed at her mispronounced Latin when she was playing a character that was supposedly an expert in the language. There was a lot lacking in the actual storyline also. So, it made it very difficult to finish the book. I skipped hole chapters and don't feel like I missed anything since the action moved so slowly. I finished the book and had no lingering thoughts or emotion like I typically do after finishing a good book. Instead I felt I had just wasted time.

Would you be willing to try another book from Catherine Coulter? Why or why not?

No. The plot was too simple and I just did not find anything admirable in her characters. Quite the contrary.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I did not like the performance at all.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Hell no!

Terrible!

Too long with too much unpleasant and unnecessary cruelty! Don’t need so many horrific sexual discussions! What is wrong with the author!

One of my Very favorite authors.

Where does Secret Song rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 100 audio books.

What did you like best about this story?

Love the character development.

Did Anne Flosnik do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She did an okay job with each character. I find her voice to be a little bit Draggy. I have listened to several books that this narrator has done and I find she seems to over act some of the characters a bit.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I enjoyed the story. I do have extreme reactisons, because I get very involved with the stories that I'm listening to. as far as making me laugh or cry I did laugh in parts, I got very angry in parts. I would not have been so forgiving, (***spoiler alert***) when she lost the baby that was His. Well, hell I can't even get the words out because when I think about it I get pissed all over again.

Any additional comments?

Like the author, not so much the narrator. I love books that can draw that much emotions out of me.
