Publisher's summary

Best-selling author Julia Quinn flawlessly combines passionate romance with "pitch perfect humor" ( Publishers Weekly).

Miranda Cheever has been blessed with many things, but great beauty is not among them. Still, when she meets Viscount Tuner, she knows she is meant for him. As the years go by, fate is as kind to Miranda as it is harsh on the Viscount. He's skeptical about love with good reason - but he may be falling for Miranda.

Dear Diary, Men are Dumb!

Where does Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 15. It's a great story of long time love, loss, and discovery. Throw in that Julia Quinn character banter.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the main characters develop, it seemed like a natural progression without a rushed ending.

Which scene was your favorite?

The book shop. Miranda is an avid reader, and wants to purchase a book that is sold only in a man's bookshop. Well Miranda doesn't care, and she wants the book, and then the fun begins.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutley

I love READING this book!

I think it loses something in the audiobook (don't know if it's the narration, or it needs to be abridged or what) but this is one of my favorite Julia Quinn books. Will I listen to again? Probably...I love Julia Quinn's humor and her characters.

He must be a mind reader! Classic passive aggressive nutsy female. Such a undermining attitude! Speak up. Send the letter, freaks and denies. PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE TWIT!

Childhood Crush to Falling in Love

I was nervous when starting the book, as it is not the same narrator as most of Julia's books and I wasn't sure if I liked listening to her as much. On top of that, the quality just doesn't seem as crisp and the chapters don't match up correctly.

I decided to give it a chance and after the first chapter I was hooked. This is a great love story of a girl who marries her childhood crush! I couldn't stop listening!

Excellent Characterizations

An enjoyable story although it left the realm of light storytelling for realism about half way through. What made this book exceptional was Jenny Sterlin's excellent narration and characterization. Julia Quinn, for me, is a hit or miss author. I either enjoy the story very much or not at all. Ms. Sterling makes "this" book truly enjoyable.

Julia Quinn is the BEST

Well, I read this book twice and it is one of my favorite of Julia’s. Next you should read What happens in London. This is the following story. Reading this story is much better than listening. The reader was boring and monotone. The story is lovely especially when we can put emphasis where it belongs. I have read every book our dear Julia has written, mostly twice. But How to Marry a Marquise is my favorite.
