His idea of permanence is the VW van that takes him from one gig to the next....Owen Lawry has made a living as a traveling musician and enjoys his footloose and fancy free lifestyle. But after meeting Laura McCarthy and helping her to land the job as manager of his grandparents' hotel on Gansett Island, Owen decides there's something to be said about a roof over his head and a warm, sexy woman in his bed.
Laura, a newlywed who discovered that her husband never quit dating, came to Gansett for her cousin's Janey's wedding, but ended up staying after she met Owen and took on the renovations to the dilapidated Sand & Surf Hotel.
As Owen and Laura's attraction simmers during months of close proximity, they form a tight bond that will be tested when her estranged husband refuses to grant her a divorce. As summer turns to autumn and Laura and Owen take baby steps toward love, favorite characters from past Gansett Island stories continue to live their happily ever afters.

“With the McCarthy’s of Gansett Island, Marie Force makes you believe in the power of true love and happily ever after. Over and over again.” (Carly Phillips, The New York Times best-selling author of the Serendipity series)
"Ms. Force has the ability to make you fall in love with her Island and all of the quirky and sweet characters that reside there. I can’t wait to read the next story in this fantastic series! Falling For Love is another keeper in the McCarthy’s of Gansett Island series!" (Joyfully Reviewed)
First let me say that I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series. The Problem I have is not with the story but with the narrator. Ms. Fielding's narration is so monotone. She sounds like she is putting herself to sleep as well as her listeners! Please get a new narrator!
The is a fun and engaging listen and a great addition to the series but flounders a bit as a stand alone. Since I can't see the series order on my IPod I ended up listening to this one first. I'm now working my way through the series from the beginning and will listen to this one again in order. Unfortunately the narration seems to be equally bad for others in the series as well which definitely detracts from the listening experience
I didn't read the print verson. I like the audio version and think the narriation is really good. I look for audiobooks by this narriator. I find dramatic narration discracting and just want somebody to read to me.
All of the books in this series are great! I'm hooked!
I've listened to many. She does not dissapoint me. I don't like overly dramatic narration...her style suits me.
All of the books in the series typically does both.
I love this series. I think it would make a great TV movie or series similar to Cedar Cove.
love to read
Owen and Laura are wonderful! So nice to learn owen's story and see Justin grow up. I love to see the entire family loving and growing, having real problems and growth
Say something about yourself!
I love series, especially those that bring in characters from prior stories. The characters become friends you love to hear updates on.
I loved the introductions of story lines of future stories and a good ending after trials.
Susan Ericksen or Christina Traister. For the first time this narrator hit the mark on a small part of the story in the reading of the letter of the lighthouse keeper who tragically lost her fiancé in the twin tower collapse. She has a good voice to reflect depression and lack of expression due to shock.
I liked the.way there were several story lines going at the same time. The book moved quickly and kept my attention. The characters were well drawn and interesting to listen to. Usually, I find it hard to keep my attention from wondering while listening to recorded books, but not this one. I attribute this more to the story than the reader.
