Publisher's summary

Blakesley Thorne moved to San Diego to escape a horrendous history in Los Angeles; a divorce, betrayal, and murder were only part of it. A distant cousin of marshal Wyatt Earp, Blakesley intends to start a new life with her three very young daughters in the old homestead that has been in her family for generations. The home, one of the very first great homesteads to be built in early California, is full of legends of cursed gold and evil tidings.

Beck Seavington, Cmdr, USN, is a S.E.A.L. commander with a detachment from Coronado Naval Warfare Base. A handsome, lonely man fresh from a hellish divorce, he meets Blakesley in a life or death situation. Thrown together in what could have been a devastating circumstance, he is nonetheless smitten by the beautiful woman with the sea-colored eyes. Try as he might, he can't forget the spectacular young mother and he intends to pursue her.

Blakesley, too, is smitten with the gorgeous naval commander and becomes swept up in passion and attraction that neither one of them can control. Blakesley's walls of defense slowly come down with Beck's charm and gentleness, and her young daughters begin to learn what it is to trust again. As the pair fall desperately and hopelessly in love, Beck is determined to marry Blakesley even as his duties take him far away from her and right into the mouth of danger.

Tragedies threaten the pair and conflicts rise, but through it all, Beck and Blakesley's love is strong and unbreakable. When a final threat looms, it's up to Beck to save his wife in a showdown at the old Earp homestead where, once again, the Wild West reigns and ghosts from the history of old San Diego come full circle.

WOW! Hot Navy Seal

It's nice to see that Le Veque can write just about anything and make it sound as if your in the midst of it. I love her writing style. She's one of my favorite authors. I also love the narration by Henry McNulty. He has a wonderful voice portrayal of the men and women in this story. Please keep the narrator for all of the books in this series.

Fantastic!

This one was so heart touching for me. My cousin just retired from being a Navy Seal. He went on a extremely dangerous famous mission and made it home. Mission accomplished! That is all I can say on that. Don’t miss listening to this one.

Dreams Of Two Becomes One

Who would believe that there was beauty, kindness, generosity, integrity and tenderness in Blakely's future after she had been betrayed and scandalized by her husband? Who would believe that there was sweetness and gentleness in Beck's future after living in a marriage with a cruel selfish woman? This is a story of two wounded people finding real true honest love for each other and for their daughters. I loved the commitment to each other in spite of the trials they had to endure.

Another great series

After listening to WarwofeI binged The rest of Catherine Levesque’s nights series. I kept the American hero’s until last because I didn’t think it would be able to meet the knight series. Guess what American heroes is fantastic. Thank you Kathryn, please write faster.

Ridiculous

Who wrote this? A Sand crab (civilians) The male was represented as a big crybaby and a doofus. The woman was too perfect and over the top melodramatic. The story was weak and rambling. No I would not recommend. Ever

Upset with performance

The lack of voice deflection had the hero sounding whiny and weak. Not a confident Alpha male like I’ve come to expect from Kathryn ale Veque novels. The story itself is interesting, just not executed well.
