After years of independence, Cameron has to learn to live with his brothers again, while he struggles with cooking, cleaning, and caring for a difficult boy. Old rivalries and new resentments flare between Cameron and his brothers, but they try to put aside their differences for Seth's sake.
In the end, a social worker, as tough as she is beautiful, will decide Seth's fate. She has the power to bring the Quinns together - or tear them apart...

I liked the narrator, loved the storyline & the mystery surrounding the plot. I went out & got the next 3 in the series as soon as I finished this one!
The setting and the fit of the story with the Maryland Shore.
When Cal tells Anna that his father's bequest is his brother. Families are based on love not blood necessary.
The scenes between Cal and his father.
A family that stands together without one common gene.
And then it ended. I was still reading and thought the story was still going to wind down and it was all gone! A lovely read, I just wanted it to carry on.
A lovely story of family (and men) pulling together. Can't wait for the 2nd one.
This was a great book that drew me into the series... it was enjoyed way too fast!
The Quinns are an interesting group of people and a clear picture that sometimes famlies are more than those born with your blood.
Loved the sense of family loyalty, and how they all gathered to help keep Seth in the family!
Good family fun, strong determinations, romance, sailing, "you name it", it's there!
Great narration by David Stuart.
Yes, I Would try another book from Nora Roberts and/or David Stuart; they were a good match.
Yes I would try another book from Nora Roberts. I liked her characters , they had personalities.
David Stauart made each character come to life, male an female
II would be first in line.
I love Nora Roberts and her characters. This story is another great one with interesting backstories and touching relationships. I'm a little picky when it comes to narrators and this one I found difficult to listen to base solely on his habit to clunk his teeth! If you can get passed the occasional irritating sound of the narrator loudly closing his mouth then it's a great listen!
I would have enjoyed this book more if the main characters were not portrayed as people who feel the need to do dramatic things such as throw dishes at each other. Nora Roberts seems to be confused about how to portray someone as a fully living human unless they get stupid and act in ways that I would not let my kids act in! She also seems to think they need to get violent with each other to prove their love. I am not buying it! It is a shame because I liked the basic story line if it could have had less drama.
Audible is my "can't live without". I enjoy the other readers recommendations. Keep them coming!
Disappointing overall. Story was hard to believe. Characters uninteresting and unlikable overall. Not up to other Nora Roberts books.
