When I clean, drive or exercise I listen to romance. The steamier the better but it must have a great story as well!
I read a review on this book before purchasing it. One person mentioned that it's X rated just within a few minutes. Yes, this book is not for the faint of heart, it does have heated love scenes. That warning given, it also has an amazing storyline. This should be listened to as part of the entire series in order to be fully appreciated. Each novel builds on the story behind it and they work well together. If steamy sex scenes bother you, I don't recommend this book. Try Nora Roberts or Janet Evonovich. For those of you that like heat in a story, I highly recommend the entire series!
I read the first book, When you Dare. It was the first I had heard of Lori Foster, now I listen to everything she writes, but especially like the "Men who walk the edge of honor" series. Possibly my favorite so far!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
I have loved all the books in this series But this is my favourite book so far. Not only is the book supper Hot (lot's of sex and sexual tension) it is quite funny as well. Jackson has a great sense of humor and i found myself giggling quite often. Jim Frangione delivered the story perfectly as always, his voice Mmm, So Good. I have already bought the next in the series and i'm looking forward to Spencer and Arizona's story. :)
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
It was a great story as well as a love story. I can't wait to read the other 2 and I bet there will be another ...the story of Arizona!
The ending was wonderfully happy......
I enjoyed his narration....reading a book now would be impossible after becoming an audible member. There are a very few narrators I have not grown to love as the story progresses. The characters become real.
The ending was moving...I love a happy ending.
I do wish I had known this was a series...this was the last book of the trilogy. I will definitely go back and start at the beginning. People have written how wordy this book can be and it is at times, but I would rather it be too much than too little.
Award-winning blind author who enjoys listening to books as much as she does writing them.
It's in my top 20.
Arizona. I liked her fire—not so much her mouth.
The part where they found the cat.
I think it would have been better without all the foul language. Other than that, I was mostly touched when the author told the story of Arizona.
This was a good book, with interesting characters, but too much ugly language for my taste. The sex scenes were good and I mostly enjoyed how Jackson took control of the situations. I liked Alani's softness and found her innocence charming.
I loved hearing this series. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, a good story line, and sexual encounters.
Jim Frangione is one of the best narrators that I have heard. He did an excellent job with each of the characters.
This is a great story that I would love to share with friends as it draws you in not only with the story plot but the characters also.
'The perfect storm' by Lori Foster is a great follow up read as it covers the story of secondary characters Arizona and Spence from 'savor the danger'.
Arizona was my favorite character and she is not even the lead but all characters had depth
Jackson waking up with no memory next to Alani was shattering but gave great opening to the warmth of the story
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
I love Jim Frangione but this book did not capture my interest. It was so boring. Maybe I just didn't get it because it is a part of a series of books, but upon hearing this one I have no desire to get the others. I will consider other books (not in this series) by Lori Foster if reviews from listeners that I follow highly recommend it.
I did enjoy Arizona. She was an interesting character. My interest did get roused at the end. Too bad the whole book was so lacking. I want to be involved in the story all through the book and this one was far from that for me.
I wouldn't want this one even if it was on sale.
I usually like Lori Foster books. Unfortunately I didn't like this one very much. It sounded like an interesting scenario, but the hero is too cocky (literally) and the heroine is TSTL (too stupid to live) for the first quarter of the book. I never did figure out where the story takes place; somewhere south of Ohio, possibly in Kentucky, is all I got from something very late in the book. I did finish it, but I'm not sure how much I missed because of the awful narrator. He was very hard to get used to and actually hear the story.
I was just happy the the mess was finally over. At least it had a happy ending.
Only if I really, really, needed to hear the story. I really, really disliked the narrator. Quick sentences, then a quiet space, then more quick sentences in a soft voice, like he was narrating golf and trying to make it exciting. Very hard to get used to and actually hear the story. He needs to narrate a
Yeah, wish I could actually read it on Kindle or in a real book, but with my vision that's not happening.
Audible should indicate that this is part of a series.
I listen to a lot of audio books...probably too many and this is the first time I have made a comment about a book. The story is okay, would make more sense if I would start with the Guy Next Door (1st book in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series).
However, the real problem I have with this audio book is the narrator is the same from the popular series from J.R. Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood). I can not tell one book from the other as they sound exactly alike! These charactars could be vampires and I would never know the difference because the narrator reads is EXACTLY the same. Also, there is this annoying clicking sound when he talks. Is this an audio problem or is his jaw popping?
