Savannah St. Claire grew up in a town where she was constantly bullied. Her only friends were brothers Billy and Travis Blue. The three of them were inseparable.
Billy Blue joined the Army when he turned 18 and was deployed to Afghanistan soon after. Four years later, Billy returns home and things are forever changed for this man who heroically fought for his country. He not only has to overcome his physical limitations, but he must confront his feelings for Savannah. With his confidence broken, he comes to the realization that there could be no way she would ever love him enough to look past the scars he possesses both inside and out.
What happens when two brothers love the same woman? Can broken hearts be mended? Will true love prevail above all else?

We meet a broken hearted Savannah, who was left behind by army boyfriend Billy. Billy left making Savannah believed he didn't love her any longer. Even after four years had passed, Savannah is still deeply in love with Billy. Hoping that one day Billy would come back and tell her he made the biggest mistake of her life, but he never did. A very good military love story.
I Love a great supernatural tale, a Love story, PNR, a Cool Mystery and Most Sci-Fi....if there are vampires, weres or witches in it, that's a plus! Basically I am a 40+ y/o young at heart woman rediscovering the wonderful world of books and am now addicted! Lol I LOVE AUDIBLE!!!!!
it was a nice story...and the narration wa pretty good..

They bring the story to life...

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
This was a nice story about young love and war...Savannah and Billy were meant to be..but when Billy went into the military he tries to push Savannah away....Billy gets injured badly, and comes home angry and in almost constant pain...Savannah tries to runaway, but he comes to her and they can not resist one another...love always conquers all!
Who doesn't like a man in uniform? Nicole Garcia does a good job of bringing this story to life. It's a little bit angsty and a little bit steamy, but sweet at the same time. A second-chance story with a nice HEA. Definitely worth a listen.
Always loved reading, now I love audio books because I can listen to my favorite books on the go!
Yes. The book was good. I really love Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross and they are the reason I wanted to listen to this book.
There were some things I didn't like but they are personal preference. I think the book will be enjoyable to others the way it is.
I would love a story on Travis. He was a character that really stuck with me.
I liked this book. It was a short listen but it was enjoyable. I liked the Billy and Savannah as a couple. I liked the resolution to the story. I would definitely listen to another book from these narrators and would also be open to another book by this author. I would recommend this book if you want a short listen and a sweet story.
I really enjoyed this book. This was a different book by Nicole Garcia than what I am used to. The characters felt more real. Not that they don't normally, but I really felt like so many soldiers and families could identify with the characters. I thought she did a great job of bringing the seriousness of veterans, military families, and what they face, into a sweet love story. It wasn't overly intense and she doesn't beat you over the head with it, but makes you think about the real life lives of these people. Great job. And, of course the narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross was wonderful. This is nice, sweet, short read that doesn't disappoint. I was provided this audiobook as an ARC.
not any one moment it all came together in an emotional story
the first when he is reflecking and coming home sets the secene
laugh and cry
the narration was excellent and in a nutshell Billy came home from the war damaged. Can Savannah reach through his pain and troubled mind and rescue Billy? What aboutTravis, Billy's brother who stayed behind to take of mama and charged with watching over Savannah? What of Savannah herself? Billy broke her heart before he left, read and find out if Billy can or will be saved.
Billie comes homes damaged in many ways, will he heal himself and what of Savannah ??? get tie book an see
Military man comes home injured after four years away and denying his feelings for the girl he left behind. She has remained in love with him. Will the find true happiness or will their distrust of each other win. Loved this romance with Ms. Garcia wonderful way with words that make everything alive brought alive more so be the readers. A great book if you just want a romance without a lot of steamy sex scenes.
I loved this story. I have always loved when veterans find their happy ending (especially seeing as I live with one). This is one of those stories that I will always be completely behind. I loved how well Kai and Wen did when reading this and how they made you feel and understand a bit better what our men go through. I loved how Nicole wrote the story and you could feel so much for Billy and Savannah and get an idea of everything they felt and went thorough together. This was such a great story I cant really express it.
It's a great love story - and who doesn't love a guy in uniform?
The angsty part maybe? You know how you want to just kick someone for pushing the one they love away and tell them to snap out of it. I loved Savannah and was pulling for her to get her guy. Billy? Gaww....what a guy (stubborn as hell, albeit, but still <3 )
I loved the narration...this duo has an audible chemistry that translates into the 'pages' of the story. Of course it helps that they were given a great piece of work to narrate!
I've rarely met an audio book I didnt like. I love rom-com, cozy murder mystery, and self-help.
Nicole Garcia does audio books specifically for me! or at least I tell myself that. There short, there sexy, the narrators sound amazing! its the whole package for me. This is the third book I've listened too by this author and I absolutely can't wait to listen to more. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
