Pretty good story, with a couple of exceptions

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The narration was spot on and the book was long enough that I was drawn into the story. I was familiar with the Hero from all of the previous books and I liked him. He had been suffering both mentally and physically due to an injury he received in a rescue mission, so I was glad he got his HEA.
The plot was a mixture of romance and a murder investigation and there were enough twists and turns that it was easy to guess, “who done it”.
I was disappointed that there were two important points that were not resolved.
1) The seeds of an experimental plant were removed from a research lab and the spread caused an impact on the shifters and the environment. Who did this and why were not revealed in the story.
2)There was no mention how the issue of the problematic flower was to be solved. As dangerous as they are supposed to be, one would think that the resolution of the problem would have been an important element included in the book.
Other than these things, It was an enjoyable listen. I plan to download the next book in the series.

Drake and Saria - - Awesome story!

This book was totally worth the wait! First off, it was great to revisit Drakes' character. Drake and Saria was a wonderful couple and it was nice watching the relationship develop. The story was interesting with many twists. Christine Feehan does it again! Now, I have to wait for Dark Prey. :)

Feehan has another winner!

I have never been disappointed with any of the books by Christine Feehan. It just feels like she gets better and better with telling a story. This is another winner you will not be disappointed.

production sucked

Like many people I do not like background music or sounds especially when it’s really loud so the first paragraph or so and the last paragraph or so I don’t know what was said I don’t like that in a book I actually want to be able to hear the words of the book if you insist on playing music stop the music before the words or at the end don’t start the music until the book is over this was so irritating to me that I almost returned the book before even getting through the first paragraph after that the performance was great until the last paragraph or so loved the narration and the story was great

Change the narrator

The narrator was horrible which made the story hard to follow . I love Christine Feehan but some thought on who reads your books helps.

Loved the book, not the narrator.

Any additional comments?

I have both read and listened to this book. I loved the book!! Christine rocks!!! The narration however left much to be desired. This book was based in the Louisiana Bayou, but the narrator made everyone sound as if they were just somewhere in the south. I believe, that as a narrator you should at least try for the proper dialect of the characters.

Decent story, awful reader

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was ok, good enough for the daily commute.

Would you be willing to try another book from Christine Feehan? Why or why not?

Yes, I do enjoy her stories

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Karen White?

Don't really know any by name, but definitely not someone who sounds like a children's story book reader who is overly melodramatic and absurdly breathy. At times it was hard to get past the reading to enjoy the book itself.

Did Savage Nature inspire you to do anything?

no

Another great story in the Leopard People series

Saria lives in the swamps outside New Orleans with her brothers. She discovered a long time ago that they were shifters, but they don't know she knows. When she starts finding bodies in the bayou she has to get someone to come and help find the murderer, because it is obvious he or she is a leopard. Drake Donavan arrives in town and meets up with the woman who has been hired to be his guide. Two things are immediately obvious, she is about to experience her first shift, and she is his mate. Now he has more problems than he expected because she doesn't even realize she is a shifter and has no idea what being his mate means. There is evidently a large lair in the area that no one knew existed, and there are males that don't want Saria mating with an outsider. Donovan will have to fight his way through the male population of the area if he is not careful. And that doesn't even include Saria's brothers who are not happy with his claim on her. Finding the murderer is going to take his whole team and it isn't going to be easy. Between the leopard fights and the attempts on his and Saria's lives he is not sure they are going to survive.

better as you go

What made the experience of listening to Savage Nature the most enjoyable?

it was slow going but the book came together nicely.

Have you listened to any of Karen White’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

this was an awsom narration her voice was perfect.
