Publisher's summary

In a world so dark and seductive, expect nothing less than a triple-cross in the explosive all-new Ghostwalker novel by number one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan....

In an underground club, a high-ranking public official spends his secret nights indulging in fantasies as exciting as they are depraved. For a seductive employee of the Dungeon, it's her job to fulfill them. But she's playing a far more dangerous game - one of blackmail, politics, and murder that reaches into the shadow world of the Ghostwalkers, and the creation of a spectacular, one-of-a-kind new weapon of defense.

But when a dictator makes his own catastrophic moves, the Ghostwalkers have no choice but to bring in two major players - a man and woman both driven by passion and revenge. Both expendable. Both with nothing left to lose.

An Excellent Addition to the Ghost Walker Series!

Samurai Game is an excellent addition to the Ghost Walker Series. Tom Stechschulte, as usual, does an excellent job with the narration and totally draws the listener into the story.

I love this series

4th. time for this book, it's one of my favorites. I have read all 18 of the Ghostwalkers books 3 or 4 times ( wish CF would write more than one a year). Joe, Diego, Jeff, Logan, Ian, Kyle, Paul and so many more need their own story. The Dark Series has 36 books, it's also a good series, but I wish CF would now concentrate on the Ghostwalkers series I'd love to have 40 Ghostwalker stories. in my opinion it is the better series.
The narrator did a great job in reading this book.

One of the best in the series!!!

Samurai Game is one of the best ones in the GhostWalker series. The characters of Thorn and Sam are different than any other couples we have met so far, which is a refreshing thing. Thorn is a very strong role model for women, especially those who come from an abusive background. She is a warrior and a business woman, and has her own mission- to wipe out Whitney's accomplices. Sam is everything you want in a hero, while not diminishing Thorn's accomplishments. The narration is impeccable, and I listen to a lot of books. If you liked Night Game, which has always been my favorite, you will enjoy this one.

Wonderful Story

If you could sum up Samurai Game in three words, what would they be?

I waited a long time to find out about Thorn. If I could sum up this story in three words it would be INTERESTING, EXCITING, AND BEAUTIFUL.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Samurai Game?

One of the most memorable moments for me was when Sam and Thorn teamed up and fought together at the beginning of the story. I knew that the entire story would be good.

What about Tom Stechschulte’s performance did you like?

I really love listening to Tom. He is one of my favorite story teller.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes I had an extreme reaction to the chapter where you learn how Thorn was used for experiments and for the other children to practice there skills. I experience a lot of difference emotions listening to this story.

Any additional comments?

I loved everything about this book. It was a beautiful tribute to Sam and Thorn.

Strong women living life on their onw terms.

What did you love best about Samurai Game?

If you have followed this series you may have wondered what happened to Thorn. I found the genesis of her new life to be very satisfying. I also enjoyed the way that Christine Feehan allows the reader to "touch base" with characters from previous books. The respect with which the author treats the role of the military resonates with me. The book is fantasy but I suspect that in reality the missions and the feelings of the soldiers are not that different from those who currently serve.

What other book might you compare Samurai Game to and why?

This book is somewhat unique in the series because of the way Thorn has constructed her life. She has not had the need to hide in the same way the other "lost girls" have had to in order to live independently of Whitney.

Which character – as performed by Tom Stechschulte – was your favorite?

I have always loved Gator. Tom Stechschulte is very consistent in his portrayal of the various Ghostwalkers and it is like hearing from an old friend when I hear certain voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is a moment in which Thorn realizes that although she has made Whitney one of the most important influences in her life she has no importance to him. That to him she does not exist. This epiphany allows her to make some different choices. I think that is a rather universal image. People hold on to old wounds inflicted on them as children and allow these things to direct their lives as adults. It was empowering to see Thorn break that pattern.

Any additional comments?

An enjoyable read. Lots of questions to be addressed by other characters in the next books. I did find that there were a few loose ends that were not addressed regarding Sam and Thorn.

Amazing action scenes & so sensually hot

I loved this story, it was exciting from the very first, so much intrigue. The sexual tension soon became combustible. Loved that the first Teams were revisited again. Looking forward to more. Great narration by Tom Stechschulte, his foreign accents are amazing, does great females also.

Love the Ghostwalker series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book as I did so enjoy it. I do however recommend that you read the Ghostwalker series books in order or listen to them in order as this is book 10. I loved this story of Thorn and Sam. Thorn's childhood with Dr. Whitney was so horrendous that it was so nice to know there was someone for her who would totally love and appreciate her. I also enjoyed how she came together with some of the other women like Saber, Lily and Flame that helped her to "fit in".

What was one of the most memorable moments of Samurai Game?

I really liked how protective Thorn "Asami" was of Sam when he was wounded. How she felt such a connection to him. No matter the possible threat to herself she would have killed the other Ghostwalkers had she thought for one minute that they would not do all they could to save him. I liked how she realized that they were the "good guys" and were in the same boat she was in regards to Dr. Whitney.

Have you listened to any of Tom Stechschulte’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I enjoy Tom Stechschulte and his performances, even though his female voices are not that great I love how he does the male voices especially Gator's. I personally think he is a very good narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book makes you feel sad for Thorn and her life as a child under Dr. Whitney's possession and then it also makes you laugh with her and Sam and how they are together.

Any additional comments?
