Love This Series!

The Scanguards Vampires series has everything you could want in a paranormal romance novel. It has hot vampires, true love, danger, intrigue, betrayal, demonstrations of true loyalty, and a few unexpected thrills.

In this story you meet Samson, the head of a security company called Scanguards located in San Francisco, and Delilah a forensics auditor in town on business. She's out getting dinner one night when she notices someone following her. With it raining, she decides to go to a nearby house for help. Samson opens the door, but he mistakes her as a birthday present from his friends. After attacking her with his lips, an offense that earns him a heel to his foot, he realizes his mistake. Their chance meeting leads to events that changes both of their lives forever.

I've read this story several times and have truly loved it, so well done to the author.

However, this is my first time listening to the audio book. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the journey in a whole new way. Well done to the narrator for bringing a favorite of mine to a new level.

I love this series and hope you do too.

I was pretty excited when I stumbled across this series. Unfortunately, this isn’t near as good as the Dark protectors, Immortal guardians, Bd brotherhood or the Chicagoland vampires. It starts out pretty cheesy and only improves, a little, by the end of the book. The world building is weak and the characters lack depth.

If you’re desperate for a vampire fix, this book is barely worth your time.

Lovely Listen

Great beginning to a new series. The story is well paced, the world descriptive and intriguing, and the characters sympathetic. There are other secondary characters that are sure to be featured in future books I assume will come soon. Narrator does a quality narration, enhancing the story.

Could be worth following

Let me start with this series is nothing like nor do I believe it is trying to be like the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It could be a series worth following, but don't buy it expecting something it's not.
I found the characters likable enough. The story was good, but it was basically a nice romance that happened to include vampires. The 2nd installment is available but I will not run to get it. Do not think it's worth buying but maybe worth a credit.

What did you like best about this story?

THIS IS PARANORMAL EROTICA SO OVIOUSLY THE WHOLE BOOK. LOVED THE BUTLER.

Which character – as performed by Kevin Foley – was your favorite?

SAMSON AND THE BUTLER. FOLEY DID REALLY GOOD WITH ALL THE VOICES BOTH MALE AND FEMALE. HOPE THE REST OF THE SERIES WILL BE DONE IN AUDIO FORM AND FOLEY CONTINUES WITH THE NARRATION.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

IT'S PARANORMAL EROTIC, BUT WITH A GREAT AND IMAGINATIVE STORY LINE. THE FIRST MEET BETWEEN SAMPSON AND DELILAH (I KNOW NAMES A BIT CAMPY, BUT IT WORKS WELL FOR THE STORY LINE) WAS GREAT.

I like the plot and how the two main characters come together. Even though the plot is typical the discription of the characters are nice together.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Samson, just when he thought he wouldn't fall in love. The love of his life literally falls into his lap.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

NO, the narration seemed all off. The narrator didn't sound like he was into the story he was telling. The woman were a little flat.

Do you think Samson's Lovely Mortal needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It already has a follow up book. If they put the next book in audio form it would be better with another narrator.

Good series, for those out there with grownup taste.

A wonderful series

I listened to most of this series years ago and I thought it was time to catch up.

Samson and Delilah.

I enjoyed this book very much although there was not a lot of plot, a slight mystery but more romance. It was a fast paced and easy listen. I was disappointed to find out this was the only book Audible has in this series that is recorded. After looking up the authors web page I discovered there are more books in this series, at least 6 more, hopefully they will come out on audio soon. Warning some of the sex is taboo so, if you don't like that kind a thing steer away from this book. Narrator was good, easy to listen to.
