Can anything taste sweeter than love?
When small-town girl Emma LaRue won a vacation to an exclusive tropical island, a last minute cancellation meant she would be going by herself. Shy and studious, she never had time to fall in love, and often wondered if she was just meant to be alone. However, that all changed when a handsome stranger literally walked into her life while on the beach and sparks begin to fly.
New York's most eligible billionaire bachelor Jack Saunders thought this vacation would be the perfect escape, one last hurrah, before taking full control of his father's company. When an innocent Emma didn't recognize him, he figured that he might get a chance to have a vacation from being rich. He didn't tell her about the cars, the yacht, or the penthouse. All he did was let her fall in love with him.
Soon, Jack found that he was the one falling in love with Emma. When they enjoy a fantasy marriage ceremony on the beach, they thought it was a bit of harmless fun before returning to their normal lives. A bittersweet goodbye was supposed to be the end of their perfect vacation romance, but when photos of the ceremony were leaked to the press, everything changed.
Feeling lied to and thrust into a world of wealth and privilege, Emma must choose between following her dreams or following her heart. Will she be content at being nothing more than the billionaire's wife, or will she return to her normal life with only memories of saltwater kisses?

the narrator pulled off both male and female voices well and brought the story to life
a little more character depth and have Jack try harder to fit Emma into his schedule when they return to NYC
I love audio books because when the narration is good - as this reader was, one can picture the characters more clearly and imagine being in the story
whirlwind summer love
Member since 2010 I suspended my account for a couple of months and audible incorrectly states I joined June 2015 crazy with 343 titles
not a bad story but the narrator sounds about as interested as if she is reading a newspaper. Her voice just goes on and on in a monotone will have trouble finishing the book.
I'm a 40-something SAH mom who has come to "read" more audio books each year. They work better as my days are active and mobile.
The characters were flat and overly amenable and so distant from one another that their one and only disagreement was "resolved" without any discussion whatsoever. It is nice to have a sweet love story, but once the couple left the vacation resort, the story of them as a couple was a non-item.
The two characters didn't hash out their differences once they actually had a difference or a misunderstanding. The Hero and Heroine were given a story while one vacation and getting to know one another, then the story fell flat.
While Miss Harris did not read in a monotone voice, she also failed to put any emotion in the characters based on what was happening in the scene. The sexy scenes were read with the same voice as the scene when the two were harassed by paparazzi in the restaurant as the scene in which his parent meet with Emma regarding a separation!! The reader did not change her voice between characters nor did she put sultry or anger or worry or elation in her voice when she was reading dialogue with these emotions. The other distracting element is that in the recording, there is a slight white or snow noise in the background as Miss Harris reads. When she gets to the end of a sentence, the white noise faded, was gone, then returned with the next sentence. It gave me the impression that each sentence was recorded separately and then laid on the track in line.
I wouldn't cut any characters, just have the H and h have more conversation to make the "forgiveness" more believable.
I am very disappointed with this recording and disappointed that I purchased Rainwater Kisses, read by the same narrator. Even though the books were at a nicely reduced price or $1.99, I would not recommend these audio books to anyone. The reader sounds very inexperienced and stilted.
Love the narrator
The narrator! lol
No, but she is great! I will look for other books read by her.
Most probably. I love the story and considering that I listened to it even though I already read the book most probably I would listen to it again :)
I love the moment when they meat and then in the end of the book when she goes to the river and the flowering threes and he comes after her to apologize and tells her he loves her :)
She is really good in personalizing the different characters and very easily understandable. I definitely enjoyed listening the book :)
It definitely made me laugh. The book is easy to read and the story is just lovely :)
I love the Kisses Series and enjoy all the books together with all Krista Lakes' books :)
It's all about romance in my library! I have a wonderful husband, children and my grandchildren they are my rock.
Don't have a favorite character in the book.
No, this is my first book. The only thing missing about this story line, I wished it can move of Jack side of the story - too many missing gaps.
I like how Emma stood up to Jack's parents.
It was smart, bright and unpredictable.
Anyone with fluctuation in their vocal cords
YES- almost did
Wish there was a better sequel!
The narration was slow and emotionless. I feel that the narration took away from the story. classic love story....nothing new but not terrible either.
No, although I will be much more careful with my choices in the future.
No. I was shocked at the completely monotone narrator.
I may have enjoyed the book somewhat of I had read it and not listened to it.
