Love listening to audiobooks, and being swept away by a great story and narrator. It's my therapy, and I need it daily!

"Liked It But Hard to Follow!"

I enjoyed Nessa Connor's MC series, and was ready to dive right into the Seals of Honor; however, there were times I felt a little lost, and have to agree with the other reviews regarding the complexity. Normally, I love stories with multiple characters, POV's, and plot twists but due to the complexity, there were times I actually had to rewind the story to be sure I grasped what was being said or done.

Griffin Murphy did a great job with the narration. Normally listen to audiobooks at 1.25 the speed to reduce the long pause between words and sentences; however, with Mr. Murphy narrations, I was able to listen to the story at the normal speed. In addition to the quicker pace, Murphy used various tones, and inflections to convey the different emotions and characters.

I received this audio in exchange for an honest review, and overall storyline was good. The plot and narration were both fast paced, and there was never a dull moment. (3 1/2 stars.)
There's lots of suspense, action, character and plot development; however, the chemistry and romance between the characters is fairly mild. This story felt more like a romantic suspense with an emphasis on suspense.

The plot became very intricate the deeper the chapters until it became work to keep it all straight. I listen while I do mundane chores and found I had to re-listen to chapters to keep up. The romance was charming and warm but not the focus of the book.
The narrators did a good job with consistent voices but at times he spoke so fast that I actually looked at my output speed thinking I had it set faster than 1X.
The story was good, but it was to complicated to boost the total review to a 4.

I had difficulty with this book. I found the characters difficult to connect with. The navy seal seemed like an intelligent guy, but the woman he was pursuing was an emotional idiot. Her looser brother easily manipulated her and even after all he'd done to her, including hit her, she was way too quick to forgive him. I couldn’t see what a good-looking and smart navy seal could see in her. The happily ever after did not make sense to me. I have read other Nessa Conner books and can easily recommend her work, but this one was a miss for me. I also must mention that I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is a very good hot Navy Seals audiobook. The book has two parts with two different couples. Cole and Madeline are the couple of the first part and Mason and Shay are the couple of the second part. I liked both hot alpha seals. This was a great story that had a good balance of romance, suspense and mystery.

Very entertaining, interesting and enjoyable story. An in depth storyline that is actually two interconnected stories in one book. How can one person cause so much trouble for so many people. The storyline that starts in the first half of the book dealing with the situations that Madeline's brother Hank puts Madeline and Cole into are continued in the second half of the book pulling Mason and Shay into the action.

Large cast of really good characters. Full of steamy romance, action, humor, plenty of twists and turns, betrayal and a little suspense. Overall a very enjoyable listen. Really like the fact that there is an actual story going on, the book doesn't just focus on the romance between the H/h.

This is the 3rd book by Nessa Connor that I have listened to and all of them have been interesting and entertaining. I need to find the time to catch up on the rest of her books.

This is the first time I have heard Griffin Murphy narrate a book. He has a nice voice. Easy on the ears. Good character voices. With a little more time he could be a really good narrator. He needs to slow down, some of the sentences run together because he is talking so fast. This throws off the flow of the story.

"Strong Protective Males and Women They Protect"

This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

I loved the narrators voice although I didn't always get the emotion I would except...timing was great and variations on voices excellent.

This is two romances in one... I actually liked both strong males...I am so tired of the 'manwhores' and enjoy men who are still sexual but discriminating...it means more. Also sick and tired of cheating when they are serious about a woman.
I liked the suspense and mystery in the story. It wasn't angsty so I was on edge...but an enjoyable listen....not incredible was worth the listen or read.

I really enjoyed this book at first… the cute little town, Madeline’s friends and the time while she was trying to get back onto her feet. I feel that the relationship between her and Cole escalated a little too quickly I would have liked more build up to their relationship. I got a little lost after the first part of the book and felt as if everything jumped into a whole new book. Overall I did enjoy the first part of the book and although the 2nd part of the book was a little hard for me to grasp I did like it

    "Fun Sexy Couples!"

Narration, Griffin Murphy - ok all I will say about the narration is I'm glad the Audible app has 0.75X speed. He narrates REALLY fast. I switched it back to 0.75 and while at first it made him sound a tiny bit drugged, I got used to it very quickly. It then became a much more enjoyable pace to listen to. May be just my opinion, but I like to experience my books and not strain to catch all the details.

The story is good, the characters are very likable. Cole is sexy on a stick and Madeline is spunky and fun. There really is a lot of bad guys in this. A smarmy icky drug Lord family with the son being the ultimate smarm!

There are also actually two stories in this book. The second half having all the same characters but adding an antagonistic relationship between Shay and Mason. I enjoyed them too, but would have enjoyed a little more time with those two once they finally got together.

Most of the danger stems from the poor choices of Madeline's brother and he brings all the danger straight to Madeline and all of her friends. Book two continues with Shay, a public defender and her cases intertwine with the same evil that came at Madeline and Cole.

Overall, an enjoyable listen (at 0.75X speed)

"Felt like two stories in one"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, i really enjoyed the story and how indepth it got without being boring, but i did feel that the book was really two full stories and would have been better to have broken it in two. Madeline and Cole were the main characters at first but were not for the 2nd half

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really liked the undercover fbi agent that was mainly in the 2nd half.

Have you listened to any of Griffin Murphy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am not sure, but did do a wonderful job on this one

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I don't know, i am horrible at tag lines

    "Didn't work for me"

I received a copy of this audio book free of charge from the author via Audiobook Boom in exchange for an honest review, and I've got to say, I struggled with it. A lot. I've read and enjoyed other books by Nessa Connor, I even liked this story, it had so much potential. I wasn't sure if the problem was with the audio version or just myself and the characters. I didn't connect with the characters, I didn't feel the chemistry between them, I didn't feel invested in the story at all, I did however want to find out how it ended, so I persevered. I loved the narrator's voice, but it didn't work for me, it was possibly the way he approached the story or the Multiple points of view. Non of it meshed for me, even though some of the characters were funny and sexy.

"Complex and intriguing romantic suspense novel"

The tapestry of this book is both vibrantly colourful and intriguingly complex. Most romantic suspense books focus more on the development of the relationship between the protagonists. That is not quite true in this book. The central focus here is on the development of the suspense and how each character, whether central to the story or supporting, contributes to the complexity. The lives of the various characters are so tangled up in each other that the resulting story is both interesting and dense with action. I enjoyed the style of writing as well as the experience of listening to the book.
