The way JD Hart makes the characters come to life for me
How Luke realized he needed help with his PTSD so he could be with Julie.
It just as good as his others. I loved the nurse she cracked me up. He always has one voice that craps me in the books he narrates and just makes me smile
If you have listened to Sharon's other books you really should they are all great
Absolutely marvellous storytelling
Everything from the way Sharon Hamilton handled PTSD in a sensible and sensitive way. To the very sensual romantic plot and the wonderful interaction between the other SEALs and JD Hart's amazing narration .
The very romantic scene in the trailer i loved that. I fact there was so many good scenes that i kept stopping and starting to listen again and again
Gorgeous SEAL , falling in love and helping him on the road to recovery
I absolutely loved the way that JD Hart's beautiful voice brought Sharon Hamilton's words so vividly to life for our enjoyment. They have a wonderful understanding of conveying action and romance which is a delight to listen too.
I loved Luke!!! He was not perfect, he had his flaws, but those are what made him perfect. I think Sharon handled PTSD like a pro. I thought the loyalty of Julie in not letting Luke push her away made for the perfect match. I always enjoy getting to know the members of the team on a more personal basis. I think this was my favorite in the series so far. And as always, JD was a dream to listen to.
I am a 39 year old woman from the midwest. I love to read Romance and mystery. I like to scrapbook, play the gutar, Crochet, and sing
very hot book. I love the writing by sharon and the recording by JD.
I love the reading by JD Hart
loyal, sexy Strong. Navy seals
Sharon Hamilton has hit this one out of the park again, though not completely for the story, but instead for the character creation of Luke Paulsen. The character is flawed, which makes him expertly created. Luke has just lost his fiancee in an automobile accident and is trying to get over that. And that coupled with the previous tours he's done, he knows he's broken goods. It was a good character development that had me in awe of Ms. Hamilton's skill. The addition of Julie Christensen in his life, gives the character of Luke a better chance for a better life, despite the fact that he's pushing her away when he thinks about his lost fiancee. They eventually part ways, though not necessarily by choice. He goes on another tour and she goes back to her real life. Their coming back together was what was needed, as Luke really does realize that he wants to be with her. Honestly, I have to say that the writing talent of Ms. Hamilton helps bring the idea of PTSD to the forefront in a big way and is dealt with in a very respectful way, showing all sides and aspects of it. J.D. Hart is also a good addition to this book. His narration of this novel helps tie it all together and really tries to make you cry at some points. Overall a perfect book and perfect narration.
Yes, I would since the voices are great.
My favorite character is Julie. She is patient with Luke when she desperately wanted him. She knows that he will come to him when he is ready.
When Julie opens the door to find Luke standing there. I was hoping they would meet again.
Yes, but it was done in more than one setting.
Luke is a SEAL and is having some issues once he return home from overseas. He has PTSD and is getting help. He meets Julie on the beach and they share a passionate night together, but he runs off afterwards. Why? Is there more to him than we see? Has he lost someone he loved? Why is he so haunted?
They meet again at a wedding. I will not tell you who's wedding because the surprises is much better when you read or listen it yourself!! Will Luke be able to feel better? Will they make their way to one another?
Love the voices by JD Hart!! His voice was calming this time. I can not describe it.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes!
Book 6 of the Seal Brotherhood series brings the listener back to the world of sexy, protective seals. One of my favorite aspects of these stories is the way the whole team has each other back. Because of that solidarity, it's so easy to continue each one of their stories without overtaking the current story. I love that I get to catch up with characters I already know and love, while meeting new characters.
Luke and Julie take us on a roller coaster of emotions, at points I felt like I was going to get whiplash. While Luke is the physically strong character who rushes in to save the day, Julie is the emotionally strong one, the one who will do anything for the man she loves, even if it means distance. I love that this book deals with real issues that our soldiers come home with in real life and looks at how it affects everyone around them and their relationships. I think Ms. Hamilton and JD Hart to a great service to our service men and women by instilling real life struggles in these characters.
I love the adventure that this story takes you on, although this particular book in the series seems more heavy on the emotion and lighter on the action. I would have loved a little more action involved. Overall, book 6 is a fantastic addition to the series!
I would recommend that you start listening with book one so you can fall in love with all the characters too!
I love being able to plug in and listen and still be able to do some things around the house. Although I will admit, many times the work around the house suffered because I was so engrossed in Sharon's story I couldn't focus on anything else.
Of course, it would have to be Luke. He has been through so much in life. We get to see his demons, his vulnerability, his struggles, but also get to see his courage, his fight, his determination to try to heal, and his acceptance that he deserves love.
J D does a great job with all his characters and how he brings something different to each one. I always know who is who.
I thought Sharon did a great job with Luke's PTSD story. As I said above, we get to see so much of Luke and it grips you and holds tight as you ride the rollercoaster of emotions. How could you not root for Luke and Julie!
Yes, I would listen to this story again. It was very entertaining and kept me glued to my seat to see what was going to happen next.
I would have to go with Seal's Legacy. Both the female characters are kidnapped by psycho's and both the male characters are dealing with a loss. Don't forget, the hunky seals get to save their ladies making for an exciting storyline.
As always J. D. Hart was an excellent narrator. I love how he separates the different characters voices and keeps them the same throughout every book in the series. Its got to be tough to keep them straight.
Wow, that's tough. I don't really know. Maybe something about not being able to escape fate. Or the Teacher teaches the soldier.
I really love how Ms. Hamilton entwines the characters from the past books into the new storylines. It lets us keep up with what is going on and enforces the closeness of the seal team when they are on friendly soil. The banter between the different characters is highly amusing and adds that little something extra making it feel very realistic. This is a great series and I love the guys and their girls. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Tell us about yourself!
Woah, Luke… moody much! So intense, but then again, there are two good reasons for it and they both include loss of life. Poor guy, he’s drowning and needs someone to lend him a hand. That hand comes in the form of the beautiful Julie.
Luke is a difficult guy and can run hot and cold in a heartbeat and JD amazingly plays out those highs and lows giving a realistic performance that almost makes you forget “it’s not real!”
Again Sharon commands the stage robbing the reader of reason and reality getting lost in her amazing SEAL world AND I LOVE IT! I really am a SEAL gal. The amazing bedroom scenes will make you need to clear your throat a few times but the PAIN, the pain is so real in this book. SEALS, well, all military personnel who put their life on the line for “innocents” have me in awe and I salute each and every one of them. The minute Sharon puts pen to paper bringing these amazing warriors and their equally “cojonudas” ladies, I’m a goner. Sharon hasn’t failed me yet and I don’t think she ever will. The SEAL Brotherhood Series is a job so well done and it helps me escape the reality that sometimes drowns me and gives me the boost I need to get through the day adding hope and beautiful dreams.
On the LOL side of things, Sharon is getting funnier there is always a pinch of humour in all her books, and in Chapter 21 and Chapter 25 regarding Brandon (Kyle’s son) I really laughed. It started with a spoon then went on to break time at school, all I can say is “How’s it hanging little man?” I guess you’ll have to read it so you can enjoy it too!
