He made a vow to fetch the woman back through time. 'Twas a task not taken lightly. But he had not predicted her stubbornness or her beauty. The petite woman with the tenacity of a mule may just find a way into his roguish heart.

This narrator was so inconsistent with her accents. And to make it worse (in my opinion) was I don't even think she was doing a Scottish accent she was speaking with an Irish accent! Plus there were several times that the character was supposed to be whispering or talking softly and it was almost like she yelled. Fun story tho! Glad I listened to the second book to know what happened!
I'm sure the book is good enough, since I enjoyed the first one, but the narrator is so hard to listen to I had to turn it off. I would have left the story part unrated but it wouldn't allow that. It seems like it would be on par with the 1st book.
Yes, I loved it. The story was great and intriguing and the narrator had a great voice and did well with her inflection.
Ian because he was a hot 16th century Englishman and he was determined to do right by Jenny.
Honestly, any in which Ian and Jenny argued. The banter between them was hilarious.
This is my second audio book and I think I may be hooked!
No! The story is good, the reader has inconsistent accents and voice level making the reading abrupt and unpleasant.
Accents and intonation.
I'll read the book instead.
Love the story just hated the narrator. I still listened but bugged me every time!
Love the first book and this story was worth a listen... Well actually I would of enjoyed it more if I read it!
