Publisher's summary

"Okay, so cats don't always land on their feet....

"I know that better than most. Since rejoining the Pride, I've made big decisions and even bigger mistakes: the kind paid for with innocent lives. As the first and only female enforcer, I have plenty to prove to my father, the Pride, and myself. And with murdered toms turning up in our territory, I'm working harder than ever, though I always find the energy for a little after-hours recreation with Marc, my partner both on and off duty.

"But not all my mistakes are behind me. We're beginning to suspect that the dead are connected to a rash of missing human women, and that they can all be laid at my feet - two or four, take your pick. And one horrible indiscretion may yet cost me more than I can bear."

painful

stort line has potential but heroin is whining and obstinate and selfish. she is delusioned about being independent but everytime time she tries assert her independence she screws everything up and makes the dumbest mistakes awlways succumbing to to her temper and impulsively. the leading male is portrayed in the first book to be a jackass. domineering and controlling but then you find out that she leads all these guys on because that is what SHE wants and she is a selfish person that left the man who loves her at the altar.

Not fun to read for full price

Faythe needs to grow up and have an adult relationship with a man without doing her power trip. this is an unoriginal plot in which the author did not develope a strong female character who CANNOT let her man be strong too. this is a historical problem with many authors when developing a strong female character.
This type of female character is portrayed in many times in fiction.
In an Alpha society were to be an Alpha female is rare, Faythe should be more mature role model for other females.

Problem with this title. Chapters missing. Skips around. Needs fixed.

There is something wrong with this title. Skips around. Missing chapters. Ends in the middle of the book and then picks up again. Hot mess on fire.

Huge Disappointment!!!

After the first book "STRAY", I thought I would give Vincent one more chance to earn my approval. She disappointed in the biggest way!!
I have no problem with a strong heroine who has a mind of her own and wants to do her own thing but the author goes too far with her extremes!! On one hand you have the females of their society who embrace the HONOR they are given and they are seen by the heroine as weak, mindless, and without ambition. Then because of their weakness they are victimize in such brutal ways, while the heroine is still smart enough not to be victimized as far as the others. On the other hand, the heroine is adored by a man who has proven over and over that he loves her and is devoted to her but she continues to push him away because she doesn't want to be under the authority of him or any other man!! What an unhappy selfish brat she proves to be!!! Making the male characters out to be neanderthals is foolish!
It is with disgust that I finished this book! I almost couldn't stomach the effort! What a waste of my time and money on this one!!!
I can only hope that Ms. Vincent isn't of a similar character with this heroine! If so, she has my sympathy! I am a Daughter, Wife, Mother, and a business owner. My husband loves and respects me and supports my business efforts.

Awful

The author tries to portray the main character as "rough and tumble" through excessive profanity and repeated character descripters. The narration is equally as bad. I couldn't wait for the book to end. I was hoping for a big finish, to a weak story, that never came. I would recommend finding another story to listen to.

God save me from these unreal women

The heroine makes the same mistakes repeatedly. She lies through omission compulsively, figures she can handle every opponent physically no matter the disparity in size and skill, and can't decide if she is or isn't into her overly possessive boyfriend.

I can't! I just can't!
