Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble's a western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, what's a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off. Jaxi has other plans for Blake's hands - and his heart. She may have once considered him a big brother, but that was a long time ago.
Jaxi's all grown up now and ready to convince him that she's perfect for him. Except he can't seem to see past the big "do not touch" sign that's apparently still hanging around her neck. When Jaxi ends up living right under Blake's nose, the heat between them slides past simmer and leaps up to barn-burning levels. However, a few of the younger six-pack Colemans have decided that Jaxi's brand of trouble is worth risking a few busted bones. That is, if Blake's finally ready to let go of the reins and fight for what he wants...

This is the beginning of an endearing compelling family saga about the Coleman family of Ranchers and, in particular, the 6 handsome troublesome brothers and their complicated questionable love lives.
Blake, the oldest of the brothers, is a handsome, hot, brooding, sexy, alpha male whose loyalty to his family and his morals are paramount in his life. But he has one dilemma - his control over his long-term secret attraction to the much younger, and therefore untouchable, family friend Jaxi has reached snapping point and it's about to be tested beyond it's limits. Jaxi's evolution from just having a childhood crush on Blake has changed into a desperate, longing and enduring love and she's going all out to capture him..... whatever it takes.
This vividly portrayed, emotionally tender, hot romance also gives us an insight into the personalities of the other five brothers, the parents and the characters in the community. It's an intense very enjoyable listen that's full of humor, drama, sexual chemistry, lust, hot sex, M/F/M action (not Blake and Jaxi), witty banter and sets the groundwork for the next book in the series Rocky Mountain Haven.
Worth a credit? Presumably there will be 6 books in this series and, based on this well written story, I'll happily be spending 6 credits - so that's a YES.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
When Blake’s mom, Marion, falls while picking apples and breaks her arm, it’s makes perfect sense that Jaxi move in with the family to help out. Jaxi sees this as the perfect opportunity to finally make Blake see her as the woman she is and to stop treating her like the little sister she is not. Jaxi’s got her work cut out for her. She may be all in where Blake is concerned, but Blake’s got some brotherly competition. Seems he’s not the only Coleman son who has noticed that Jaxi is all grown up...
These cowboys in this series are all Hot as sin and hard working, they sure know how to play when their chores are done... There is definitely flammable chemistry between Blake and Jaxi and Ms. Arend beautifully writes their intimate scenes and they leaved me fanning my face to cool down a bit... In fact, I’ve never been much of a pool player, but if I ever had the chance to play pool the way these cowboys play pool, I imagine I’d be a pro at it... :)
Tatiana Sokolovis one of my favorite narrators and does great justice to this story...
MORE SEX THAN STORY, DON'T MIND SEX IF YOU HAVE A STORY TO GO WITH IT. ALSO, NOT HAPPY WITH HER WORD FOR THE FEMALE SEX ORGAN.
Down to earth romantic love story with a little bit of country
Blake - he is so strong, smart and dumb at the same time hot men
really don't want to give away the story
Not really finished the book in one sitting
Yes, I thought T.S.'s narration was all right. Her male voices were distinct as were her female voices. The emphases when needed were a little lacking, but overall I thought she did well. I thought the pairing of the two, VA & TS were pretty good as well.
Yes, especially to give her the benefit of the doubt - that being that she can add a little more excitement and pizzazz to her storyline. Come on VA, we know you can do it.
A little lacking.
Yes. As I stated above, there could be more umph and pizzazz in the storyline so it is my hope that with each additional follow-up, if there are some, VA will make them more intriguing, exciting, mysterious, anything more.
