Publisher's Summary

Easton Beck is known as the guy who ran. The guy who took his band out of the public eye to recover from the loss that shattered his world and his heart.

Lark Williams has officially sworn off all men. Despite her world falling apart six weeks ago, she agrees to participate in the Perfect Match Cruise. After all, who would turn down a Caribbean vacation?

But like love, the perfect match is unpredictable. Two hearts are on a collision course, and they couldn't be more perfect if they tried.

One musician with a broken heart.

One gorgeous woman who stopped believing in love.

One week in paradise.

There's only one rule on the ship - there are no rules.

Welcome aboard. Prepare to be rocked.

Yes, this is a very enjoyable listen. Yes it is predictable, yes it is a little cheesy but it is still a very sweet love story.

When Easton saved her in the ocean.

What about Jeremy Vore’s performance did you like?

I thought Jeremy did a great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the ship docked and they all left. My heart broke for them!

    Story
    "CHEESY, PREDICTABLE and JUVENILE"
What would have made Rock the Boat better?

It actually had some potential with the theme but it was all too contrived, sweet and perfect to even believe...

What was most disappointing about Gia Riley’s story?

That you were rolling your eyes every ten seconds because of the immaturity the of the story and characters. I mean really? These characters could not cope with life...they have to drink themselves into a stupor every time things are not neat and tidy, which was ridiculous... it was just so ridiculous, I had to turn it off or throw up

Would you be willing to try another one of Jeremy Vore’s performances?

His voice was fine, BUT you could not tell one character from another...it all sounded the same

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NOT. A. ONE. Did a teen write this book because that is the level of maturity of this story?

He is performing there as a way to hide from the outside world. She goes for one week with her best friend to forget...

The story is sweet, enjoyable ,light and very entertaining.

Jeremy Vore did a very good job with the narration. His voice is clear, His tone and inflections are perfect and I enjoyed his performance.

    "Rockin!"
What made the experience of listening to Rock the Boat the most enjoyable?

Although somewhat predictable story, the narrator was great and the story kept me interested and listening.

What does Jeremy Vore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Emotion and voice inflections helped me to "feel" what the characters were feeling.

    Any additional comments?

Entertaining, enjoyable and fun romance story with a HEA. The story pulls you in from the start and never lets go.

Very likable characters, fun setting and some steamy romance. If you don't like steamy scenes in your romance books move along this is not the book for you.

Lark and Easton have both had their hearts shattered in different ways. Both have given up on love, or so they tell themselves. The heart wants what the heart wants.

This is the first book by Gia Riley that I have ever read, but it will not be the last.

Jeremy Vore does a good job with the narration. Great voice. Clearly spoken, smooth even pace. While he is able to make the characters come to life with the tone and inflection of his narration, there really is not much difference between male and female characters. With a voice that deep it may be hard to do a female voice more feminine. Overall though a very enjoyable listen.

"Grab a Pina Colada and Escape!"
What did you love best about Rock the Boat?

It was such a creative and fun story but it had depth. I fell in love with all the characters and wanted to know know about them all!

What does Jeremy Vore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was my first audio where it was only a male narrator and he did fabulous! He has a great voice with amazing emotion behind it.

    Any additional comments?

The story is so creative and throws you curve balls all the way until the last line! I enjoyed watching the characters grow and develop. It was a great escape of a book! This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

    "Enjoyed the storyline"
Would you try another book from Gia Riley and/or Jeremy Vore?

OK, I enjoyed the storyline a great deal, as far as the narrative goes not a big fan. I couldn't tell half the time who was talking, it's messed up the story for me many times. Jeremy has a beautiful voice, but it just sounded like someone reading the story to me. I didn't feel much emotion or attempt to make the charators come to life for the listener.

What other book might you compare Rock the Boat to and why?

It was unique that's for sure, can't compare with any others because I don't think I've read anything similar. Really enjoyed the story.

What three words best describe Jeremy Vore’s voice?

    Beautiful, smooth, strong

Was Rock the Boat worth the listening time?

For me I'm going to say no, I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read it. I do have it on ebook and I think I may just to do that.
