Stella Gunn is the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Blue Moon Gypsies, and Stella used to be Mace’s girl. But Kai “Mace” Mason broke up with her and the loss of him rocked her world. One night, Stella gets a call, late (again), from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot. Mace finds he doesn’t like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot right in front of him, but it’s worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet, and all the Rock Chicks are in the firing line. Stella doesn’t want Mace to be the one to keep her alive, but she has no choice. Mainly because Mace isn’t giving her one.

I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I have to say.. this is now my favorite book in the series... Stella is all famous and sh*t! YES!!! That is what you call a tru ROCK CHICK! But hands down... Mace stole this book! OMG... Mace's back story was so damn good... I just simply can't think of how Ashely is going to out do herself... Then the Daddy issues.. OMG!!! And the ending.. NO WAY!!!!
I loved this book! I hope Ashely does another set of Rock Chick books, with Mace's crew... that would be sweet!
Totally credit or sale if you are following the Rock Chicks! If your not.. How dare you!
I enjoy reading series and very rarely read stand alone series. I mostly read romance and sci-fi & fantasy.
This was such a fun boo to listen to! I have all but devoured this entire series. As I was listening to this story i was captivated by how the hot bunch did not give up on the women they considered to be theirs.
Of course if I was one of those women I don't think that i would be as understanding and let them get away with bossing me around as much as the Rock Chicks do. And Mace is no different. He even (spoiler) had Stella handcuffed! But I still love him and the hot bunch!!!
The only downside was the epilogue. If you have read the premise for Ally's story then you know that she has to choose between Darius and Ren. In the epilogue of Rock Chick Reckoning you will find out which one she chooses, so if you want to be surprised then don't listen to the end of the book.
I would 100% recommend this series to anyone of my friend who are into women with attitude, hot men, steamy sex scenes, and some good old fashion butt kicking! this book as well as this series gets a 5 out of 5 across the boards!!!
I love the rock chick series. I liked that this book had sections of all the previous characters narrating, but I felt that it took away from Stella's story a little; I didn't feel as close to her as I did to the other rock clicks in their books. On the whole, if this book was the last in the series it would have been awesome. However, since there are two more the ending kinda ruined the others for me (not that I won't be reading the others). It's still a really good book, I'm just not sure I like how she changed the format in the middle of a series with two more books to go.
First let me say I LOVE this series and love Kristen Ashley's other series. This one was good just not as great as the others. Not sure if it was because she jumped around to the other Rock Chics perspectives rather than just hearing through Stella's point of view. Though on the other hand it was nice to hear that too. Like I said, it was a good story just not as great as the others. But I will be happily listening to the rest.
This would be my favorite so far, because Stella didn't spend all of her time being an idiot and making the situation worse. It was sooooooo refreshing! Don't get me wrong - I did enjoy the other books, but there were times in them when I wanted to kick the whiney ass of the female character. I am really hoping we have turned a page literally, so that the next two books will follow this type of character trait.
I also really enjoyed the peak into the other relationships we had already listened to as all the Rock Chicks were involved.
Missouri Mom with lots of Opinions! Love to listen to Audio Book Series!
The first Rock Chick book is my favorite and this one definitely number 2 (so far - because I am really excited about Ally's book). I love both Stella and Mason's characters. They both come from similar past's and watching them finally come together made a great book.
Kristen introduces us to some new lively characters including Stella's band, to Mace's "Mothers" and Mace's Father. As always, Kristen's writing makes me laugh, want to yell at the characters and cry a little.
Susannah, I can't say enough about your narration!
This is what you call a true ROCK CHICK! Stella and her songs, OMG, and her stage dive. You must look up each of the songs lyrics if you don't already know them because they soooo fit Mace and Stella. Then the Daddy issues.. OMG!!! Tex and his bombs, HELL YEAH!!! And the ending.. NO WAY!!!!
Best book of the series so far. Awesome, I mean truly awesome narration. Susannah Jones and Kristen Ashley make this sh*t amazing.
I enjoy fantasy, romance, westerns, mysteries and classics... street signs, billboards, t-shirts... Audible is perfect for me.
I liked the closeness of all the people in the story. The most-of-the-time cool head of "Mace"The bulldozer effect could make me laugh. What I liked least ? Stella. Okay she has issues. Okay she's mostly keeping it together some of the time BUT after a while I found myself muttering to her ... " Oh good Lord I can't believe you said that!" "Can she really be that stupid?" *Eye roll* When she should have been getting 'it' she sticks her head in the sand. Not seeing things as they are but in her own screwed up perception. Yikes. Of all the Rock Chicks I liked Stella the least.
I'm kinda new to Kristen Ashley's books. Although I started with Law Man and Motorcycle Man and now have a number of the Rock Chicks series ... This has all the drama, roller coaster ups and downs and passion of the other books. That part is solid. The story was good. I've liked others better, like the first Rock Chick and Rock Chick Rescue. I gave it a three overall and a five for the performance. I should/could bump up the 'story' to a four but *shakes head* the "Stella thing"
This one is right in line with her other performances. I'm satisfied with how she read the parts of the different characters. Some people's reading is like nails on chalkboard. Not Susannah. She is good.
There already is a follow up kinda with at least another book in the series after this one. If you mean continue on with Mace and Stella, their life together? No. Oh good Lord no. More stories in which Mace and Stella are a part of sure.
I am never moving to Colorado. Never. And Denver? I think I'd feel safer in L.A. Listening/reading these books is as close as I'd ever want to be even if it means I don't get my own Hot Bunch guy *sigh*
"truely one for the rock chicks"
Wow. Action, romance, family and kick-ass friends. What more could a girl ask for .
