Publisher's summary

The fifth book in the New York Times new adult series that began with Real. When an angry, heartbroken girl is forced to be near her rocker ex-boyfriend, only time will tell if the fire between them will consume them both.

Pandora, the gothic friend of Brooke (Real, Mine, Remy) and Melanie (Rogue), thought that getting her heart broken by her bad boy rocker ex could only happen once. But now, he's back in town with the biggest concert of the year. Pandora hates him so much that she gets Melanie to come with her and play a prank on him at his gig. But when they're caught by security, and her ex himself is summoned, Pandora is not prepared for the feelings that seeing him again - beautiful and in the flesh - awaken in her. She's also wholly unprepared for the conditions his manager sets in order for her and Melanie to be released; especially since these conditions only allow Melanie to return home, while at the same time, they put Pandora in perilously close contact with her ex again. The torturous physical closeness between them reignites the passion they once shared, and soon no matter how much she wants to hate him, it's clear she's still hung up on him. And worse: He knows it too.

OH BOY O BOY BUT I LOVE THIS EMOTION FILLED SERIES

This is the heartbreaking story of McKenna and Pandora who were young, but doomed, lovers and fate, along with an evil bitter Mother, kept them apart for six years. In those six years they grew up and a lot had happened and they each became twisted in their own ways however it was Pandora who sought revenge........ but once again fate stepped in and gave them another chance to finally get it right.

This torturous, emotional and addictive tale was set in present day with glimpses into their past and there was angst, heartache, a bitter yet tender rekindling, a surprise or two, dirty talk with raw and passion-filled sex. And, in the end when all the regrets, anger and hate were finally washed away it left a new, beautiful, rare and precious love. Good supporting characters and we get to touch base again with characters and lovers from KE's previous books.

Worth a credit? A very enjoyable listen that held my interest and attention, moved me and left me panting for more in the series. So YES, a great author/narrator combination, made this a very creditworthy addition to The Real series and hopefully KE will keep em coming.

I Got my Heart Ripped Out...

If you could sum up Ripped in three words, what would they be?

Torturous, twisted and passionate.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that Mackenna did not cheat on Pandora while she had to tour with the band. That increased my faith in human kind. Also the big reveal by Pandora, even though I kind of suspected it. That love/hate vitriol was too intense.

What does Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The raw emotions of the H and h.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh yes. Trust me.

Katy Evans is a fantastic story teller

What did you love best about Ripped?

This is a modern day Romeo and Juliet

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ripped?

I loved the tomato bombs

What about Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise ’s performance did you like?

Sebastian York could make reading a grocery list sexy

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

This is the story of two star crossed lovers torn apart by an overbearing parent and reunited years later. Both our main characters are a little broken which lends this story a nice does of angst along with the passion and romance. As with all the books in this series, this story was HOT and the characters lovable. I enjoyed learning the mystery of Pandora.

Love the Real Series!!!

This was a great book....but hands down... BOOK ! (REAL) will always be my favorite of the series.

Pandora was a wishy-washy character to me... Yes she was mad a McKenna for like ever... but that (Brooke and Remy) chemistry wasn't there between these two that made me feel like they were that epic love...

I loved McKenna with band though... Smexy!!! Pandora... yeah... not so much... didn't really see her as a band roadie...

This book was full of angsty moments... (Closet, Bus, Hotel Room, Stage, behind the Stage) that were all well enjoyable... Plus I totally love the Brook and Remy cameos!!!

I hate dual narration... but this was decent... Like Louise better than York, but both are good narrators... However, I think Louise could have pulled this off much better by herself.

Well worth a credit, buy or sale...

Did you know there is going to be a REAL 6!!!! Whoo Hoo... Hopefully it will be set in the future, as the ending of this book... has possibilities !

Amazing

I loved it. I finally learned why Pandora was so mad at the world. and once you read this book you would know it too.

I became sad and the ending is just so unfair, but it is just.

loved it!!!!

Like It

I thought I was not going to like this story. The beginning was a bit childish and annoying. I did not like this female character in the beinning, BUT! it turned out to be a great story. The chemistry was there and I loved the ending. I would have loved for the other characters to have been developed a bit more.

Loved hearing Pandora's back story...

What did you love best about Ripped?

Loved hearing Pandora's story of why she was so bitter and closed off.

Who was your favorite character and why?

McKenna...because he never stopped loving Pandora.

What does Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The characters come to life in audible. I hear a depth to a book when performed out loud that I think is lacking when reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The last song written...Lullaby

Any additional comments?

Could be listened to as a stand alone, but much better as part of the series. This book helps you understand Pandora better from the REAL series.
