Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine.
My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.
We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

"A steamy read that will have you furiously flipping pages." (Glamour)
"When it comes to brewing up scorchingly hot sexual chemistry, Day has few literary rivals." (Booklist)
Most definitely! Won't be able to put them down - guaranteed!
The male voices. Unnecessary and completely took away from the characters. Hard to take them seriously.
I don't usually listen to books more than once, so probably not
I felt like FSoG had too much sex, honestly. It was the same thing over and over again. I loved the story in this one, loved the characters, and thought it was a great story line. Can't wait for the next books.
English is not my mother tongue but I speak quite well because of the experience I have of the language.
Perhaps I wouldn't like my friends to know I read erotic novels and it wasn't something that might benefit their language learning as much as some other book.
I have only read the first book almost to the finish and starting the second one didn't spoil me anything from the end of the first book.
They should have got a mail voice to do Gideon Cross maybe but at least she didn't groan and moan in the sex scenes. I guess she had the right kind of performance in those situations of the book.
It wasn't too long. Might not read it again the last thing and first thing in the morning because I had some powerful sexual dreams
I need to find something else to listen to. This was just something I haven't really read before so it might keep my interest up
I just graduated Nursing school and now have time to read more. Any recommendations would be great.
It was a lot like FSOG but it was still a great book.
Huge fan of J.R Ward and Sylvia Day!
I was very into this story to the point where I was so mad at Gideon Cross!
Gideon Cross, because he is so confident and sure of himself.
I listened to the first book of the Crossfire series and she is great. Takes her time narrating and has a great voice for her characters.
Consequences of severe passion and obsession
Provocative, Stunning, and romantic!
Listened to this over the course of 3 days. I was hooked!
There are so many ying and yang pulls! The roommate and his fight over being bi-sexual or gay. The hidden secret that comes out at the worst time. And the relationship of father and daughter. And the all of the insecurities of the mother! It seems like a hot news that couldn't possibly get everything straightened out enough that they could possibly get together. Can't wait for more!
As in the other series, the choice of sex word's could have been more descrete.
I have a real crazy in love relationship with books!!!
Unnecessarily Drawn Out
I was shocked honestly! The ending shocked me so much that I just HAD to read book 3.
Ummmm probably when Gideon finally told Ava the truth.
Well....yeah cause I mean I did need to know what happened.
Ok so the overall storyline is good but I think it is absolutely unnecessary for this story to go into 3 books or well probably 4 since there may be another book coming out. The author really drags out all of these psychotic, ridiculous arguments and the unnecessary drama really takes away from the story.
Sighing....ugh even still the overall story is good. And yes I still enjoyed listening to the story when I wasn't pulling my hair out. Since it isn't expensive I would recommend using cash for it instead of a credit.
I absolutely love the Crossfire Series! Sylvia Day is amazing and you have to read all three books to really be able to appreciate the entire storyline. The second book, however, I would have to say is my least favorite of the three but it is important to read it too so that you do not miss out on anything in the story. Everything in this book is unexpected, and I love how the relationship between Gideon an Eva is developing and there are of course plenty of hot encounters between the two that do not disappoint!
Jill Redfield is an amazing narrator! She is by far my favorite narrator that I've ever listened to and does an amazing job with this story.
