Off to a fantastic start “sigh”

I absolutely loved the first two books. From the very beginning of book three we are off with the drama again. You just have to love an author that can reach out, twist you into knots, not into one but THREE books. So here I go again. I’m getting myself all caught up with the drama and getting upset with all those “other” people making trouble for Kellan and Kiera. I find myself laughing at the antics of Griffin. I find myself continually hoping that Kellan and Kiera don’t let things mess their love up and please, please, please don’t cheat on each other.

It’s just amazing. Go ahead and use your credit or just purchase this book. Like I’ve stated in earlier reviews in the previous books, the sexual content is mild and in these books the other content is so good it doesn’t matter. This series is at the very top of my favorite books ever.

KELLAN KYLE!!!

Would you listen to Reckless again? Why?

This is the best one of the series, I loved every minute of it. I listened and read this one, becuase I was so excited that it was fianally out. This is one that I can read or listen to over and over again

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reckless?

Oh let's see there were so many, but I have 2 ok 3, the coming clean chapter I was so ready for that to happen, the wedding scene and then the epilouge!!!!!! So those are my top 3 moments.

Which scene was your favorite?

The vows it was so heart warming oh and Kellan and a Baby. Oh how life has become full circle for him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The hospital when Kellan could really see and fell just how much he truly was loved. That was so heart warming. I can't even imagine how you would view yourself growing up knowing you weren't loved by your parents. So if they didn't love you how could anyone else. But when everyone was there for him and came from all over just for him to make sure he was ok. Oh I think I will cry just thinking about it.

Any additional comments?

This was defiently a series you will want to fall in love with. I heart Kellan Kyle. Also it was great to see how Keira has grown with each book, yes she can be annoying at times, but you have to understand she had to grow she is young. And some ppl just isnt born with that confidence they have to work at it. That is why her and Kellan's union was meant to be, because he urgered her to venture out and seek that confidence he knew she had. And she showed him how to love and see that he desereved to be loved! K & K Forever! :)

This girl is a constant WHINER!!!!

Would you try another book from S. C. Stephens and/or Rebekkah Ross?

They story could have been so much better if this girl was not so annoying not to mention the lack of sex. I have read many different authors but this one was too PG

What was most disappointing about S. C. Stephens’s story?

Lack of sex descriptions.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rebekkah Ross?

Narrator is fine not her fault the girl whined through the entire book

What character would you cut from Reckless?

Kierra is not strong enough to have such a hot guy.

Any additional comments?

Excellent Series

Overall I enjoyed this series. It was written different than I was used to reading. It was like and recounting of events and journey. At first I was not sure what I thought but it grows on you and you become captivated by her story. I only did the audio book for the last book but would recommend it. You can picture that these events could really happen. It is about choices and decisions that you make and the consequences of those actions/choices. It makes you laugh, cry, smile and cheer. The dialogue between characters is very funny. The performance was great.

Smooth Narration, Satisfying Conclusion

This is the first trilogy I’ve read in awhile where the writing improves with each book and the ending left me totally satisfied. I’ll miss the characters but I’m pleased with the series outcome.

This series centers on a regular girl in love with a budding rock star. Where we left off in the last book, Kiera graduated college and is now free to go on tour with Kellan and the D-Bags, and the band is on the verge of hitting it big. With fame comes new problems, and not everyone is on Team KK. Fans, record executives, the media, and other celebrity types all want a piece of the red-hot Kellan Kyle. Do Kiera and Kellan have what it takes to go the distance or will their relationship become a rock and roll casualty?

The Thoughtless series has drama and steam aplenty. And Stephens has a knack for hard-hitting emotional scenes. I was plenty nervous about what crisis our couple would face in the final chapter, and I even had to read spoilers because I didn’t trust that a HEA was a done deal. Let’s face it; Stephens likes to put her characters through the ringer. And in Reckless, there are some scary moments and surprises that kept me guessing throughout. The pacing is good, and Stephens balances the romance, music career, and other character’s storylines well, tying up loose ends.

One thing that made me pleasantly surprised in this installment was the character development. In the first two books Kiera shows poor judgment to say the least and makes the same mistakes over and over. In Reckless, Kiera shows a lot of growth and maturity and I liked her so much more. But it’s not just Kiera that rises to the challenge. Griffin and Anna’s progress stands out, Denny evolves, and Kellan is as swoon worthy as ever.

I listened to the audiobook, read by Rebekkah Ross. Ross’s narration is very consistent and easy to listen to. With these long books the time flies in part because of the addictive story but also because of the smooth narration. Ross will always be the voice of Kiera to me, and her voice is more confident as Kiera learns to have faith in herself. She gives distinct voices to varying age ranges, different accents, and male and female voices with ease. I never had trouble differentiating the characters. It’s one of those audiobooks that you make up chores to complete so you can keep listening.

If you like stories with romance and angst, and rock stars, give the Thoughtless series a try.

Sad it's over!

What other book might you compare Reckless to and why?

Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed. They both have similar plots where the male main character is in show business and the heroine is a regular joe who is trying to fit into his crazy life.

Did Rebekkah Ross do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She tried but her voice is somewhat monotonous.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The ending made me cry out of happiness that they finally got their happily ever after but also out of sadness because the story is over and I'll miss reading about Keelan and Kiera.

Ummm... Kinda Disappointed... But still loved it!!

Let me say this right now… I totally love Kellan and Kiera. I totally love the Thoughtless series.. and I have being waiting like forever for Effortless to come out so maybe my expectation were just a little bit too high.

Now. Review time.

This book picks up like right after book 2… like right after the bar wedding… in fact Kellan and Kiera are on their honeymoon. I must say, even the smex scenes in this book did not leave me gasping and covering my mouth like the other books did. I was soooo waiting for that too. The story was good… I mean it was just what you would expect for Kellan and Kiera’s relationship to evolve into. Plus I was so proud of Kiera for handling KelSex the way she did. So mature from Kiera’s previous personality. Great improvement, but I kind of wish old Kiera would have made an appearance and slapped Sextan around the bar one good time…. But she didn’t. The whole book I was waiting for that pinch in the heartstring feeling and it just didn’t come. So for me… I totally love the story…but it was like one huge epilogue for the first two books. It kind of just finalizes everything. Well I take that back… only one drama filled scene happen right at the end…but it was over and done then everything summed up nicely. If you’re a fan of this series by all means… get this book and listen and enjoy. Just don’t expect your toes to curl like it did with book 1 and 2, this will just round out the series for you.

Narration was great as usual.

Good buy if you’re a fan/ good credit if you’re just getting started.

This One Should Be Sweet, Loving and Cute

If you could sum up Reckless in three words, what would they be?

Different twist on a Chinderella story

What did you like best about this story?

I am always into the happy ending

What about Rebekkah Ross’s performance did you like?

Love her she did great with all the voices

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Would have like that when I get into a book I never want to turn it off

Any additional comments?

I know I have said this in one or all of the earlier books but I look for books that are at least 10 hours so this was a real find and I never got board

Sad the trilogy has ended

What did you love best about Reckless?

Reckless went deeper into their relationship and beyond their insecurities. The characters were more confident and the story took their relationship to the next level. The turbulence was less within their relationship and what was being done to them. The story ended well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kellan! A beautiful devoted rock star ...who wouldn't love him.

Which character – as performed by Rebekkah Ross – was your favorite?

Denny. She did a good job with the Australian accent. Or maybe Griffon. He was sure funny!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I did!

Any additional comments?

I agree with other reviews. This story line is similar to Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed. If you have made it to book three, then you probably are not reading the reviews. It is a series you cannot put down after book 1 and you have moved right from book 2 to 3 without skipping a beat. Totally addicting and sweet! I have told all my friends about it!!
