Beautifully romantic novella

This book was wonderful. It is my first Bijou Hunter audiobook and was happy I did. I will be looking for more titles by her. Meredith has just come out of a boring marriage and is looking for a rebound night. She meets up with her week-long, high school boyfriend, Winston who is nothing but gorgeous! Listening to this short novella, the characters are well developed and you get to know them well. Winston is incredibly protective and territorial when it comes to Meredith and not long after they begin dating, you know that the relationship is going to grow and deepen. You can't help but really dislike Meredith's ex-husband, and love her dad! It was an enjoyable listen.

Trixie Summerfield portrays the story beautifully.

This is a sweet story of how life can change and can be better even when you feel it's the worst.

I really enjoyed the laid back, no drama, straight forward first love comes back to town and sweeps her off her feet!!!

They are from different worlds but are willing to compromise. It is a sweet, mostly stress free romance that has a perfect HEA. I really like the Dual POV.

The narrator did a fairly good job. I really enjoyed listening to this short and sweet Story.

Yes, the author should omit over half of the curse words used in this story.

Yes. I wouldn't mind listening to other books read by Trixie Summerfield.

Meredith's husband Sandy files for divorce out of left field.
She is Free, on the Prowl, and has a chance run in with her ex, Winston.
Meredith was looking for wild and easy while Winston wanted nice and sweet.

I liked the dual Point of Views.

Winston was hot and I like second chance stories.

Overall this was a Fun and Flirty quick read, with a side of erotic.

However, I did Not like the constant curse words.
When a person curses often, it demonstrates a lack of vocabulary.
Some situations are understandable but every few sentences or so is way overboard with the cursing.
The author should take note and realize that she may be offending some of her readers with the language.

Short, Funny, and Sweet

Perfectly written novella. Enough character development to hold my interest. Not a gritty MC biker story but a sweet love story. POV's provided conversation that had me smiling and laughing to the very end. Very nice surprise that has me interested in other books by author.

Short but sweet

I love this author I have most of your books . I was 1I was 1st introduced to this author on her 1st beauty and the beast. I have been in love with this author since. She's gotten me through a lot of dark moments in my life. Characters were cute and funny And not a dark book at all. The narrator was okay a little bland I would like to hear a little more emotion and then rating of this book

Second Chance Short

This is a cute, quick, sexy story of how Meredith got her groove back after being dumped by the most boring man on the planet. She decides to hook up with a hot guy who happens to be the bad boy she had a fling with in high school for a week before he moved away. They both made lasting impressions on each other, and Winston is interested in more than just a fling. Nice banter and dialogue between Meredith and Winston, as well as her quirky friends and their families. Great, light-hearted, steamy short. I really like this author, and I am impressed with her ability to make a short story such a good one.

The narrator does a good job reading with the right inflection and emotion. Her male voices are not that great, so this feels more like narration than performance, which is fine. There were some dual POVs, and I wonder if it would have been a tad more enjoyable if there had been a male narrator for the Winston parts, but overall, there were no glaring errors or mispronunciations.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.

🏍 Less Harsh Than Most MC Books

I would classify this as motorcycle club-light. I enjoyed it a lot. Unlike the other motorcycle club books I have listened to, this one did not denigrate women in a way that the others I listened to do.

It is a "nice" erotic book, it flew by. I recommended it to those who like the motorcycle club books but may be put off by the gravitas and grandstanding found in others, in this genre.

Trixie Summerfield was the narrator is she did an excellent job performing, in my opinion.

I will look forward to other books written by this author and performed by this narrator.

Really enjoyed this story. It was a short, sweet, fun, steamy, romantic second chance at love story.

The 2 hours flew by and I didn't want it to end.
Even though Meredith is only looking for a rebound guy, Winston is not going to let her get away again. The story is told in dual POV's which is nice. And a HEA

Meredith is a good girl who just had a breakup from her dull husband. Lucky for her, when she was out hunting for a rebound, she found her ex high school sweetheart, Winston. I hope I have good dreams tonight thinking about him!
