He's dark and mysterious. Quiet and lethal.
An Irish mobster.
Pure sin wrapped up in a beautiful package.
But there's also something off about him.
He doesn't feel anything. He shows no emotions.
Sometimes, I question his humanity.
He hasn't spoken to me in two years. Not a single word.
But we share a secret, he and I.
And if it ever comes out, I have no doubt in my mind....
He won't have a problem killing me, too.
I've slain for her. I'll do it again.
When it comes to Sasha, there isn't a line I won't cross.
I watch her. She doesn't know it.
She thinks I hate her. Sometimes, I think I might, too.
But I'm always there, lurking in the shadows.
Craving her. Trying to keep the beast within at bay.
I'll keep her safe. I'll slaughter anyone who tries to hurt her.
The only thing I can't do...is protect her from myself.
This is a full-length standalone novel full of hot Irish guys with accents. Dark mafia themes throughout. HEA included.

Just Another Audiobook Addict! Love listening to all types of romances, but occasionally need a good Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or a book with humor!
I love A. Zavarelli ability to write heart-wrenching stories built on the foundation of characters who have suffered loss, tragedies, abuse, and weave a tale that transforms the story into something powerful and beautiful. The stories she writes will speak to your heart, and stick with you well after you've listened to them.
The characters are complex, deep and scarred. Ronan, know in Boston's underworld as the "Reaper", is a trained assassin who's full of rage. He struggles to overcome his brutal past and the harsh training he endured. While he may be a killer to his very core, his heart belongs to Sasha. He's fiercely protective of her, even if he doesn't understand all the emotions she evokes in him.
Sasha's character is strong, and vulnerable. She has "quirks" which she uses as a coping mechanism for stressful situations but they border on OCD. She's facing a heart breaking loss, which has her emotions on edge. When Ronan's protective instincts force him to take action, he inserts himself in her life, and comes up with a plan to ensure she stays with him.
These characters had their ups and downs, and I enjoyed watching their journey bring them closer together. From the tender moments, to the explosive outburst, to the steamy love scenes, their story was awesome. I loved how Sasha and Ronan turned to Crow and Mac for support.
Tracy Marks performance was fantastic, and really brought me into the story. She projects the character's emotions perfectly, and you can feel the angst, worry, happiness etc. In addition, she gives each character their own voice, and you can easily distinguish between them. Crows Irish accent is still one of my favorites! Great job!
I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. This story is absolutely, positively worth a credit, and the time invested in listening to the stories.
I am a chronic binge listener and enjoy paranormal romance, MC, science fiction, historical fiction and more
This is the second book in the series though you can technically read it as a stand alone but you'll enjoy it more if you've read book one.
I love this series and highly recommend it; it is set in the Boston area and is about members of an Irish mob syndicate. Sasha is a dancer at the strip club owned by the syndicate and Ronan (Reaper) is Crow's right hand man and best friend. Ronan has been watching Sasha and trying to keep her safe since he met her. Sasha suspects Ronan has feelings for her but he always keeps her at a distance.
Dual POVs from Ronan and Sasha and some of the timeline overlaps with book one. The first few times we hear from Ronan's POV, it's actually him as a child being trained to be a solider and we learn some of the horrors he suffered at that time.
Tracy Marks gives an excellent performance as narrator as she did in book one. She is one of my absolute favorite narrators.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Reaper, along with bk#1 Crow are the best stories. From book one through book two this author puts you in the shoes of four (male & female leads of each book) complex characters. I'll put A. Zavarelli on an auto-bye for any of her books because of how well written these are.
The narrator, Tracy Marks is Superb!!!

The story goes with the first one which id Crowe. ..you will get more enjoyment if you listen to it first. Then Reaper.
First time listening to this narrator, usually I don't like a woman teading for a man's POV, she's brilliant!!
AHHHHHHHH!!!!! Once again, A. Zavarelli has gone and completely sucked us into the dark world of the Irish Mafia. It's dark. It's twisted. It's an emotional rollercoaster that you never see coming!
I was AMAZED with the character development of Ronan and Sasha. The growth that we are able to see from Ronan throughout the book is astounding! Ashleigh was able to navigate us back and forth, from past to present, without missing a beat.
REAPER is a beautifully written dark story that is impossible to put down. Prepare to be taken on an intense journey that will rip your heart right out and put it back in, forever changed. Ronan is probably the most beautiful character I have ever read about. The more I got to know him, the bigger my heart swelled. His story is heart-wrenching and will tear you apart. Ronan Fitzpatrick has completely stolen my heart.
The narration was the freaking BEST!! Tracy Marks did both male and female POV and blew me away! It was great! Love the book! Love the audible!!
From start to finish...just a great story, awesome writing, and the narration is the best!!
Unloveable, untouchable, unreachable "Reaper" and the girl who breaks down his walls is the main story, but so much more going on to hold your interest. I love that he really doesn't know what he can and can't feel, not it's not yet another love story where he is trying to be an arrogant jerk that just doesn't want to get involved. You can't help but love this complicated man.
Seriously you won't regret this story!! Go!
Hello I am addicted to Audible!!! The addiction is real and I need help...more credits that is.....
YES, of course this book is so good and the narration is great. I just fell in love with Ronan and Sasha is book 1 so I am so happy to see them together and well I won't give the story away!!
My favorite scene doesn't exist the book just flowed well. I did like the scene with Ronan and his new dog where he says her name is Dog..it was funny. I also loved the "We need a baby" scene and they are trying to figure out the pamper..funny. Overall I just loved this book.
I did but had to finish it in 2 days..ugh.
I was given this book in return for unbiased honest opinion. This book really is a great story and although it was hot, this book offers so much more. It is just a well written story with a great narrator that does a hell of a good Irish accent. LOVED IT!!
Sad, Love, Mafia
I would have to say Sasha. There was so much depth to her that no one saw. She had compassion and understanding. Her patience and love for Ronan just warmed my heart. The little things she did slowly to help him to heal.
Tracy Marks is fast becoming one of my favorite female narrators. I knew who was talking and I loved her accent and the tone of her voice.
I both laughed and cried. The depth of emotion that this story triggered in me was surprising. To learn what happened to Ronan to make him what he was just tore my heart apart.

Good God almighty I want to squeeze Ronan! I never thought I'd ever say that. I didn't think I would like his story as much as Crow, but I honestly loved it so much more! Such a great story, with great narration. Definitely a 5 star listen!!!

Not only do I love the author's books, I also live for the audiobook. Reading helps to connect, but being drawn in by the remarkable narration makes me fully vested.
"Tracy Marks rocks"
Good if slightly disturbing story. Makes a nice change to read something in the Genre that is written well.
