Publisher's summary

Forbidden love, undeniable desire....

Davina Montgomery is no ordinary English lady. For her own protection, she’s been locked away from society, her true identity the Crown’s most closely guarded secret. Until a shocking betrayal—and a bold rescue—land her in the arms of a fierce Highlander, a powerful warrior whose searing gaze and tantalizing touch awaken her body and soul.

As the firstborn son of a powerful Scottish laird, Robert MacGregor has no loyalty to the English throne, but he’s not the kind of man to leave a woman in distress, even if she is English. He vows to deliver Davina to safety, unharmed and untouched. Yet one stolen kiss leaves them both smoldering with desire and desperate for more. With Davina’s secret threatening to destroy his clan, Rob must choose between everything he holds dear and the one woman he can’t live without.

WOW! IF YOU LIKE SCOTTISH HIGHLAND ROMANCE YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS SERIES. MACDUFFIE DOES A GREAT JOB WITH ALL THE CHARACTERS SHE BRINGS THEM ALL TO LIFE. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN A NARRATOR THAT JUST READS THE BOOK (BOOORING), BUT A NARRATOR THAT GIVES EACH AND EVERY CHARATER A LIKE. DONT EXPECT TO GET ANY SLEEP IF YOU TURN THIS AUDIO ON AT BEDTIME. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ENTIRE SERIES.

Really???

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not time well spent, just a way to pass the hour drive into work waiting on the next Iron Druid to come out.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The narration was horrible! While I admit to being spoiled by Davina Porter reading the Outlander series, the Scottish accent in this book made it almost painful.

Would you be willing to try another one of Carrington MacDuffie’s performances?

The narrator had a good voice and would listen to her do a strictly English story, but not Scottish, never again.

Did Ravished by a Highlander inspire you to do anything?

ahhh, nope.

Highland Hero

Rob finds himself rescuing a novice nun, who is a princess in hiding, but now is being hunted. He is her safety, and love. The narrator is wonderful, the accents were spot on and the differing inflections for so many characters, brought them to life.

Good Story-Great Narrator

I really enjoyed this story and the narrator did an excellent job. Now that I have started reading about the McGregor clan I have to keep going and will listen to the the rest of the Children of the Mist series. I rarely review, so when I do, it means I really like it

Love! Love! Love! This book

This is the first time that I have listened to a novel written by Paula Quinn. It was spectacular! I really enjoyed it. Very well written, great story line and well developed characters.

Carrington MacDaffie performed brilliantly.

I simply could not stop listening. It's worth the credit.

A little vanilla

I enjoyed the story but it's just a romance, even so I would still like listen to more stories about the rest of the McGregor brothers and cousins. I'm used to listen to Karen Marie Moning and Lynsay Sands higlander stories that are more steamy and sexy.

enjoyabe book

certainly not the best book i ever read but i enjoyed it. i enjoy this type of book when i need a break from other deeper thought provoking books. this is one of those books that you can just put your ear buds on close your eyes and listen to a story about love and a couples never ending need for one another. with the hero being a highlander though there is always his brute strength which he uses to protect her from all that would harm her or try to claim her and to prove his love for her. Makes you kind of sigh at the end.
the narrator drove me nuts doing the heroes voice.

Great love story!

Romantic, moving, sexy. I actually cried once! narators regular voice bugged me a little but she did great seperating the scottish burrs and english lady. I forgot about it after a half hour anyway. Great love scenes. romantic and sexy but not embarrasingly stepping into erotica like some ive read! lol.
