She wants a baby. He wants her. Simple enough, right? Ellie Godfrey has kissed her share of frogs. So many, in fact, that she fears she won't recognize her prince if and when he finally comes along. Tired of waiting for "the one", Ellie decides to have a baby on her own before it's too late. When Jasper Autry hears about Ellie's plan, what else can he do but step in and offer to "contribute" to her project. Does that make him an opportunist? Whatever. He wants the perpetually out-of-reach Ellie Godfrey, and when he sees his chance, he takes it. That she's the sister of his business partner and close friend Flynn gives him pause, but it doesn't stop him from having what he wants. As Jasper and Ellie embark upon their secret project, he makes it clear that for as long as they're together, he's in charge - in the bedroom anyway. After the hottest sex of her life, Ellie realizes she's made a deal with the devil himself.
Warning: If you hate foul-mouthed heroes who like it a little rough and dirty, this might not be the book for you...Contains hot and sexy BDSM scenes among other things that might not appeal to the faint of heart. Enter at your own risk and enjoy!

First of all, the concept of the book is so complicated!! The character wants to have a baby from one man, but find different one to be an actual father of the child! Why everything is so damn complicated!!!
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
Right from the start you could see that Jasper and Ellie were made for each other (however they couldn't see it), they'd been working alongside each other for years, had the same friends and had been secretly very attracted to the other in all that time. They knew each other so well that it just 'clicked' between them - Ellie knew that her 'baby bargain' with Jasper came with an expiration date and she was fine with that.... until her heart got involved.
Jasper had always lusted after Ellie but she was Flynn's Sister so he never went there - instead he lived the life of a happy, handsome, single and very sexually driven man and it wasn't just his looks that made him stand out - his British accent was smooth too. When he suggested to Ellie that he would like to be the sperm donor to make her dream come true he thought it would be his way of finally having her and also helping a good friend out. Jasper knew their relationship could never work long-term because there was something in England that was going to call him back one day.... but the more time they spent together, and the more Ellie fulfilled ALL his deepest sexual BDSM fantasies, the more he thought that their perfect relationship could actually, possibly, maybe and perhaps be his forever. So he took a very slim chance and played his hand at getting out of an impossible 'commitment' in England.... but things didn't quite go to plan - with a devastating and shocking outcome.
This was a really entertaining dual POV friends to lovers love story and Jasper and Ellie were both very likeable characters and there were also all the other Quantum characters from the previous books too. My heart did race when they went to England and the consequences of that however, other than that, this was a smooth running, really enjoyable, very sweet love story and the sex scenes were HOT!!
Worth a credit? If you're already a fan of the Quantum series then you know the answer to that. But if not, and you're looking for an easy flowing, light, very sexy, tender and sweet romance that does have its "oh shit" moments, then this book is definitely for you. I found it really enjoyable, very creditworthy and the narrators did a fan-bloody-tastic job too with all the character's accents... especially the British accents.
I'm so disappointed in this book, narration, and Marie Force. If I had known how bad the narration was I would have bought the kindle version. The male narrator is cringe worthy, his American accents were horrible, the men sounded like women (Flynn, Christian, etc) or a really loud jumble of a New York, Boston,Chicago accent (for hayden).
Whats worst is the way Force wrote Jasper's speech. He sounds like a character in a 1930's English novel ("gobsmacked? " really?) either Marie Force has never heard an actual English person from this generation speak or she had a really bad consultant for British speech.
I love this series and I will read the rest of the books but this book is definitely a black spot on the whole series.
great series but, Robert Benson could have used some help on the female and American voices. He was good but, with some direction he could be great! Summer Morton was excellent in both voices. Good book and worth the credit or the money!
Robert Benson's voice was a complete failure in the attempt to create a vision of a beautiful and sexy Brit! What a disappointment - due to the terrible fit of the tambour of his voice, picturing yourself in Ellie's shoes was not even desirable!
Summer Morton, on the other hand, was great!
This is my least favorite book of the Quantum series to date. There was not nearly enough of the steamy BDSM love making in this 5th book, and it was really more PG-13 compared to what was delivered from the preceding books!
I really hope any future books in this series are not as drab and disappointing as this one!
This book was lovely. They didn't break up towards the end & then have some dramatic reunion like in many love stories. They stayed together & faced the obstacles as a team, which was awesome. If you've been listening to the series then you'd be crazy to miss this story. I can't wait for the next one! MS Force or Marie Force whatever name she is writing under and whether the story is a sweeter romance or more dirty like this series she will always have me as a reader/listener. I'd recommend this to any romance enthusiast. I enjoyed the British accent of this narrator & the women was good too. It was a little tough though when they would change their voices to be any other characters (it sounded strange & funny when it wasn't supposed to be). Very much worth a credit or just an out right purchase.
