Sorella Corvino lost her brother to The Cursed years ago. Sorella is so determined to find him, she'll make any deal, rescue the outcasts and those like him, and risk flying into any port to rescue him. When her latest pirate efforts partner her with a bounty hunter who's too charming, sexy, and handsome for his own good, she knows she's in trouble.
Ian Marshall no longer believes in fairy tales.
Disowned and a marked criminal in the United States, this merchant turned bounty hunter is one bounty away from freedom; and freedom's price is handing over one person to the most cutthroat gang in the world, The Cursed. Yet, he can't get to them without Sorella's help. Too bad she's gorgeous, aggravating, and a little trigger happy.
As the attraction mounts, the danger grows and the pair find themselves invading a skin trader den, the ballrooms of dictator-ruled Germany, and fighting battles in the sky in the hopes of getting everything they want. Only thing they didn't plan on was falling in love.

The story starts off with the main female lead, Sorella, trying to find her brother.
I would like to say.. that I really like strong female leads.
Sorella then meets, Ian, a bounty hunter, sparks fly, and the journey begins.
The narration by S.W. Salzman was decent.

Rabid Listener/Reader and Shopper!
Audiobook - narration, S.W. Salzman, pretty good - he has a nice narrative voice and was pleasant to listen to.
I had a really hard time with this audiobookbook. I bet I listened to chapter 2, six or seven times (no joke) and chapter three four or five times. At least I wanted to know what was going on enough to re-listen to the chapters, but I just couldn't stay engaged. As a result, I'm not entirely sure that I completely 'got it'.
It seemed to me that it was a fictional history of the world but it felt sort of futuristic. I enjoyed that part of the story and I think my final assessment is that the romance distracted me from the part of the story that I wanted to understand and was really interested in.
Once I got past the fourth chapter or so, I cruised right through it. The relationship and the sex scenes continued to distract me, but not as much. I guess I just wanted more about this new world which I found quite intriguing.

Paranormal-urban fantasy book lover!
I received this book for free from the author/narrator for an honest and unbiased review.
I like to place books in genres, however, I have no clue which genre to put this book into, there are a lot. I guess that is why I liked it so much. It was different and unique.
This book is a good book and I will definitely pick up another book by Landra Graf and the narrator did a good job as well.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
Audiobook Addict. It's all about the Listen. Mostly Romance, but I do branch out a bit. Reviews are my honest opinions-popular or not.
This takes place in a 1936 alternate universe where Tesla's inventions are as prevalent as Apple today. For me, this was totally different, and I wasn't sure….. but I liked it. After a couple of recent listens with stupid, useless and/or doormat heroines, a story with a smart, capable, kick-ass chick is very much appreciated. I liked it.
SW Saltzman does a good job with male and female voices without making the female voices sound like caricatures. He has a good feel for how to use his voice to convey the emotions of the writing at the right time. I would listen to his narration again.
I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.
I'm retired USAF and fully retired with a lot of time to read now. Read my whole life so thought I'd give some of that knowledge back.
I really did not like this one because of all the sex. Not mentioned anywhere. This on I did not finish.

Not my type of book. A little too much sci fi for me. Narrator was awful choppy reading and monotone. Sounded like they were bored.
Maybe with a different narrator
