Publisher's summary

Something wicked this way comes.…

Suddenly, being bitten by a werewolf is the least of Joanne Walker's problems.

Her personal life in turmoil, her job as a cop over, she's been called to Ireland by the magic within her. And though Joanne's skills have grown by leaps and bounds, Ireland's magic is old and very powerful.…

In fact, this is a case of unfinished business. Because the woman Joanne has come to Ireland to rescue is the woman who sacrificed everything for Joanne - the woman who died a year ago. Now, through a slip in time, she's in thrall to a dark power and Joanne must battle darkness, time, and the gods themselves to save her.

GOTTA LOVE THE WALKER PAPERS, BUT...

I LIKE THIS SERIES, LOVE THE CHARACTERS AND THE DIRECTION THINGS HAVE BEEN HEADING FOR JOANNE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A TRANSITIONAL BOOK. THE ONE THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE WAY SHE USED "THE MORRIGAN" AS A SYCOPHANT FOR A BIGGER BAD GUY. I'M ALSO A FAN OF MANY OTHER SERIES THAT USE THE FEY. I FELT THIS WAS A POOR USE OF "THE MORRIGAN". BUT YOU KNOW, WRITERS PEROGATIVE ETC. I THINK THINGS WILL REALLY PICK UP NEXT BOOK. I'M STILL A FAN AND I AM WAITING FOR THE NEXT ONE.
THE NARRATOR DID HER USUAL GOOD JOB.

Entertaining - but vague

I really like the books, the story line, and the characters. But many of the "visions" are awkward and half make no sense or seen out of context. I end up ignoring rather than being interested in the strange dimensional travel - it's about as clear as a string of disjointed dreams. Probably just my own ignorance of some of the legends the character is embracing.

This book was sooooo worth the 2 credits!

This was a wonderful story told with great skill. I have loved the heroine throughout all the previous books and especially this one. ???Raven Calls??? is a great story that was written with incredible intensity and depth. It???s a totally rich experience. I hated for it to end!

Series is growing

What was one of the most memorable moments of Raven Calls?

I like the way this book pulls separate strands from the others together. The interaction between Jo and her mother are strong and revealing.

Have you listened to any of Gabra Zackman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She has gotten better. I like her voices.

The best addition to the series!

Jo meets Ireland’s ancient Fae and a Norse Goddess or two. She seems to be coming to her own, but has hauntings, and a Werewolf bite to deal with.

Thank you <3

Just when you thought Joanne and Morrison were never going to get it together, it happens. It was totally understated and beautiful.

Not the first book in the series

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I should have started with the first book in the series. I am only half way through this and will come back to it. However, I think it would have made more sense if I had started at the beginning.

Excellent

The series is very enjoyable . Mystery and magic are a great combination. This book is difficult to put down. I finished it in a day and had to start the next book in the series.

My FAVORITE thus far

Of course im not impartial since The Morrighan is my patroness, but there are so many figures of Celtic myth in this one, I wouldve loved this best anyway. I cant wait to read about Garys adventure, but the end of this one REALLY makes me want to go to the next.... its a good dilemna to have!
