Publisher's summary

Out of the wickedly inventive imagination of number-one New York Times best-selling author J.R. Ward comes a world where sin and salvation collide in a battle for the future of mankind - where a cynical fallen angel struggles against the seven deadly sins and a demon's lure over seven chosen souls....

Mels Carmichael, reporter for the Caldwell Courier Journal, gets the shock of her life when a man stumbles in front of her car outside the local cemetery. After the accident, his amnesia is just the kind of mystery she likes to solve, but she soon discovers they're in over their heads with his past. Over their heads with passion, too...

As shadows walk the line between reality and another realm, and her lover's memory begins to come back, the two of them learn that nothing is truly dead and buried. Especially when youre trapped in a no-holds-barred war between angels and demons. With a soul on the line, and Mels's heart at risk, what in Heaven - or in Hell - will it take to save them both?

Rapure has DEF captured me!

Would you listen to Rapture again? Why?

ABSOLUTLEY! I am so loving this series. I was afraid it would never live up to BDB but it is amazing! I love getting lost in Caldwell all over again. This audio is amazing. The voices are great and the narrator Eric Dove is amazing!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mels...loved her! She is one kick ass heroine!

Have you listened to any of Eric Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes Covet and Crave....as always PERFECTION!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A few actually. Dog made me cry at critical times :) Ad is one of my favorites too. I just wnat to hug him. Jim is amzing and Mathias is beyond words. I love Mel and wish her all the happiness in the world, she deserves it (yes I know she is fictional...I don't even care)! She is real in my head!

Any additional comments?

This series is amazing. This book did seem to start a little slower but it DEF made up for it! iw ill DEF listen again and again!

A Game Changer

Excellent. I love this series..the heroes are very BDB types (Ward's other hot series)..and of course good vs evil is the game. But in Fallen Angels the battle is Heaven vs Hell for final world dominance. Good & Evil are not black & white in this struggle, which makes for some great action, love, lust & loathing. In RAPTURE (4th book) Heaven's chosen warrior Jim Heron makes a surprise decision and his right hand angel Adrian makes a huge sacrifice that make this book a game changer in this series. Can't wait for the next.

I was Raptured

Would you consider the audio edition of Rapture to be better than the print version?

yes since I have deminished sight.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nigel for not letting divina enterfear.

What about Eric Dove’s performance did you like?

The inflection is characters by tone or accent was very beliveable. Just like I used to do for my kids when they were young. Each character has its own voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Jim dropped mathisis cause he wasn't dead when he came back and explained to jim why he wasn't dead.

Any additional comments?

I hope J.R brings adrian back I think Jim and Eddie need him.

Love this series LOVE IT

I would recommend this series to everyone, even those that do paper reading. Super series. Very unusual spin on the good vs evil take. Super narrator, please keep him for all the series. I love how this "life" is running simultaneously with the "brotherhood" from her other series. LOVE IT!
Worth money or credits, how can anyone be disappointed in this series. Cannot say enough about it. Dont hesitate, listen to all of them, you will be waiting on the edge of your seat like me for the next book.

Narration to fast but worth a listen

Hard to listen to due to the very fast narration but still worth it if your into the series. This book is not up to the standards of the others in this series but after I got used to the speed freek reading it, I got into the story and was not to dissapointed. Loved the first 3 books which made this one a book not to miss as it continued the saga. It's worth a credit if your into the series.

Pleasant Story Continuation

The story centers on the character of Methias which we met in Crave, Book 2. The story sets up well but feels like it drags on a bit. Methias' non-feeling, cold-hearted, callous nature is given a second chance and Mels inspires him to be different. The fallen angels of Jim and Adrian seem to be coming to grips with the loss of Eddie (the third of the Trio from earlier installments) and try to find their way in the divine challenge against evil.

It is a nice story, but not as exciting as the earlier series installments. Even the effort to offer a cliff-hanger at the end doesn't leave you wanting for Book 5 to be available already.

Eric Dove does a great job overall in narrating. He is fairly consistent throughout the series in distinguishing between characters.

Lots of transformations!

Loved it. There are multiple character arcs that are impressive and will leave you emotional. The development of Adrian’s character had me wanting to cry. If you loved the others in this series you will love this one!
