Publisher's summary

It's Christmas! Things are going well in Rabbit Creek. Elizabeth has taken her duties as the Alpha's Mate to heart and as the story opens, that heart is breaking for the loneliness and isolation of one of her pack. It's Christmas Eve and no one should be lonely at Christmas. Lindy doesn't feel like she has much to celebrate. After two years of widowhood, she can barely make ends meet without the aid of her pack and while her inner wolf is ready to move on, Lindy isn't sure she can let go of the past. New to the pack, Travis had party plans for the Holidays, but he ends up playing Santa to a pretty little widow and her pup. She's not what he was looking for, but she's exactly what he wants and his inner wolf agrees. Now all he has to do is convince Lindy that Christmas gifts aren't always the ones you find under the tree.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this was a very funny read that is well told with wonderful characters you can relate to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rabbit Creek Santa?

Lindy's son falling in love with Travis

Any additional comments?

This was a short but sweet wonderful read another pleasurable listen/read from this outstanding author. Christmas is no time to spend alone remembering better times, having no family to fall back on and feeling an outcast from those around you. Not really fitting anywhere in the pack but not wanting to leave. This is a story filled with pain of lose but also filled with much love and humor as two people get a lesson in live, love and finding their way.

Lindy not really having much this Christmas to celebrate with having trouble paying her bills, making a life for her little boy who never knew his father, life is tough for her being alone when she thought they had many years to come to enjoy each other along with raising their cubs. She really doesn’t fit anywhere in the pack most widows are older, their cubs are grown and the others have family along with a mate. She just sets on the side lines feeling sorry for herself. The alpha mate will have none of this and sticks her nose in knowing just what should be done about it. Things do not work out just as she plans as Lindy goes from lows to highs along with getting a few home truths. I really like Lindy she is a sweet lady who just needs to find where she fits in the pack. She has a lot to learn as the Elizabeth helps her find her way along with giving her a few things she has to face. She isn’t looking for love and truly scared of it, her wolf wants out to play but her human side is holding back. There is no way she can deal with anymore lose.

The alpha mate talks Travis into playing Santa for Lindy’s little boy. Travis really just wants to go home to his quite little house but no one turns down the alpha mate’s request. If things went from bad to worse as Lindy’s little boy is afraid of Santa. Travis is a little spit fire as he comes to love Lindy and her little boy. He is ready to throw fists before asking questions which gets him in a spot of trouble. He isn’t about to let any grass grow under his feet, he knows what he wants and goes after it. Lindy is about to find out what this wolf is made of.

I would have to say this is one of the funniest read of this series. It was short but it packs many lessons in life as the author keeps you laughing with Travis putting his paw in his mouth more than once. Lindy over reacts to things said and done which leaves to more issues and a lot of crow to eat. The author really shows you that you might want to think and ask before going off half cocked which leaves one with egg on your face.

As always Holly Adams narration is just wonderful. Her voice changes are outstanding as she goes from male to female, young to old. I just loved her voice for Lindy’s little son, he keep me laughing throughout this story. The only trouble I had with this audio was when I went from home to car that the softer tones where harder to hear. I couldn’t not tell if this was edited or if she took a break it was very even out and smooth. Holly always hits the correct tones for the emotion of each character. There are times I forget I am listening to a book as I enjoyed and laughed my way through it. She truly made me feel the emotions each character was going through as their hearts broke or they were happy, glad and making a fool of their selves. I love listening to her voice it is smooth and flows easy to the ear.

The author gives a well told story of the pain of losing the one you love, having to go on when you might rather not. No matter how tough life is there is always a bright side, so many people out there to help you as long as you help yourself and give back. This was a very emotional and touching read that makes you want to reach out to so many of these characters why you can’t stop yourself from laughing at them. This might be a short read but the author delivers a big punch to remind us of things we might have forgotten in are day to day lives. It isn’t always about us but those around us as well. When you live in a pack it is always a team effort.

If you haven’t read anything by this author you might want to think about checking out this series whether it be by ebook or by audio you will be delighted by this authors writing style and the stories she creates for her characters. I have been a fan of this author from the very first book I picked up of hers. These can all be stand alone reads but are much better if you read them in order. I am sure one book will make you a fan.

Very Enjoyable Read

All though this is a novella, the story was short and very sweet. I cried and laughed and was very satisfied with the results of this story. It is the story of love lost, life struggles, and putting yourself out there, so other can love you, as well as learning to give to others. It is a short story that has all the elements of a persons struggle. Well written this story is well worth the money or credit used. Yes I recommend this story Novella, although I usually don't recommend novella's I for one usually go for the longer stories.

Another Wonderful Story!!

Another fantastic story by author Jacqueline Rhoades. I loved the way She captures the characters and details in this story. This isn't your usual shift from human to animal or vise versa. Another reason for anyone who loves books about shifters and even those who don't should check out the Wolvers stories. She's written a unique story about these Wolvers and the way they can shift. I loved this story but, yes, there's a but, it should've been longer to be considered book #4 because the others are longer. This one should've been a short story or a novella. Who knows she might go back and fix that one day. Don't worry it doesn't hurt the story at all. Its still worth reading or in my case listening to.
The narrator Holly Adam's did a fantastic job with her telling of this story. I was able to know which character was speaking. She brought so much life into this story that I felt like I was there seeing it unfold. Absolutely Fantastic!! I highly recommend you check this series out and add them to your collection, you won't regret it. I received this audio in exchange for an honest review.
