Only time will tell…Tick-Tock…

Narrator sucks

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The story is good but the narration was so bad I quit listening to it.

How could the performance have been better?

Someone who knows how to do different character voices where they don't all sound alike or sound like they're in dire oain.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's a good story, but I'll read the book instead of listening to it.

Too much inner dialogue!!!!

90% of this book was listening to frustrating thoughts in both of their heads rather then actual conversation. Their communication just sucked. The rest was their cheesy " oh really Mr. Blake, is that so" dialogue followed by more sex. It was so repetitive that it made the sex uninteresting . As much as I hated Dillion at least he made it so SOMETHING happened in the other 10% of this book.

The narrator as Emily was fine but EVERY other characters voice was so laughable that it was like listening to a cartoon ( yogi bear and Beavis and Butthead). I had to fast forward when Trevor and Fallon spoke , I mean it was beyond ridiculous. Also... learn how to pronounce the word " restaurant"!!!!

Missed Book 1... missed a lot!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Didn't read book one and quickly figured out that in order to get into Pulse you must start there. Apparently all the drama and character development happened in book one... I'm sure it was great and recommend readers start there and Pulse will make much more sense.

The Californians?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More plot or interests by the main characters, maybe. It became boring when the 2 main characters just incredibly loved each other with over-the-top drama/emotion. There was no development of their relationship beyond the initial physical attraction.

I wasn't a fan of the narrator. I think that she had a weird pronunciation for some words..."restront" instead of restaurant. Also a couple of the characters had some weird voices that kept reminding me of the SNL skit "The Californians"... and come to think of it the content was kind of similar. Over drama?

What was most disappointing about Gail McHugh’s story?

I had to stop, it just wouldn't stop sapping on about their special love. There was no other reason for me to like the characters...any of them.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Oh I think the drama in the voice matched the story...it just was boring

Any additional comments?

I wouldn't call this smexy...if smexy means smart and sexy. I would say it's shalexy...shallow and sexy.

TORTURE...

Any additional comments?

Collide was better; this book is overly sappy. It was like every fourth sentence was "I love you" to the point that it was getting on my nerves. I get it - you all are soul mates and you love each other can we please move on? There are about 8 chapters that didn't make my mind wander. I am so mad at myself for not just skipping to the end.

Boring

I thought it was boring and predictable. It felt like the author couldn't come up with anything interesting or original in so many parts and so it ended up cheesy and drab.
