Publisher's summary

Sam "Mozart" Reed's life changed the day his little sister was found abused and murdered when he was 15. He's spent the past 19 years looking for the serial killer who took his sister from him and ruined his family. Using his connections, and SEAL training, Mozart believes he's finally tracked the killer to the town of Big Bear, California.

Summer Pack is working in a crappy motel up at Big Bear Lake until she can find something better, more meaningful, more real. Living in an unhealthy situation, she meets a man who is everything she's ever dreamed about and who helps her see that there are some people in the world who will actually do what they say they will.

But somewhere in Big Bear a killer is waiting to strike again. Watching for the perfect victim.

Another great one

I'm actually glad I stumbled on these series late as by the time I found it all the audio versions where released. I've been loving listening to all the Seals find their women. Susan writes amazing and interesting stories while Stella does an outstanding job of narrating them. If you like good audio books don't miss these. If you prefer to read this a must read series you don't want to miss

Always trust your instincts

Sad to say, summers story could happen to any of us. The men in all Ms. Stoker’s series are passionate, honorable and incredible. The characters in this story actually talk to each other - no confusion. lol this quote from the story “it was uncanny how unlucky their women were”.

Great series to start.

I have enjoyed this series. I don't understand why only half of the series is included in the Romance Package. Somewhat of a let down.

Mozart and Summer’s story

I’ve had a soft spot for Mozart while reading this series and really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Mozart is looking on his own time for the man who killed his little sister years ago. He thinks they’ve narrowed it down to Big Bear mountain and heads up to do some discreet searching. While staying at a kind of dive motel, he runs into a woman working there as a maid who just captivates him. He takes her out to dinner and they have a good time. He promises to return to see her soon.
What he doesn’t know is that’s she’s paid very little and sleeps in a storage shed on an old cot. She is always hungry. Months go by and Mozart has her on his mind, but puts off returning. Finally, Bennie talks to him and he decides to drive up to see her. What he finds blows his mind. It’s coming into winter and when he finds out she’s sleeping in a shed with no heat it’s the kicker. She’s feeling sick already and he takes her to the room he’d rented. He has 2 days to take care of her before he’s due back on base. They talk a lot and make plans for seeing each other again. Because Mozart went to the owner and pressured him, she’s allowed to stay in the cabin for the winter.
There’s a mission the next week and he has to leave her, hoping she will be okay. What neither realize is that the newly hired handyman at the motel is the killer he’s been searching for. Narration was great!

Good couple!

Another protective alpha, a pretty but down on her luck heroine and a bad guy who brings danger to the story. I liked Sam and Summer. This was a bit of a shorty so there wasn't a whole lot that happened but when the bad guy did show up, there were some pretty uncomfortable scenes. I struggle a bit when the bad stuff happens detail by detail in a book. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and didn't last as long as it could have.

Great story!!!

I started listening to the seals books from the begining, and I'm lovin all of them. They each have their own story, but then are all tied together. looking forward to the next ones.

Summer and Mozart

I enjoyed this book and think Susan Stoker has another winner. I feel as though Summer is not as strong a character as the other female leads, but Summer still manages to catch Mozart's eye.

The storyline about Mozart"s murdered little sister is continued in a Kindle World book and not yet available on audio. I recommend reading Jordan Dane's Redemption for Avery after reading/ listening to Summer.
