Publisher's Summary

Living in Southern California, Cheyenne was used to seeing hot military men as she went about her daily business. An anonymous encounter at the grocery store cemented her crush on one such man. He was big, built, and incredibly easy on the eyes, but it wasn't as if he would ever really notice her.

Always in control of any situation, Faulkner "Dude" Cooper knows explosives. As a bomb expert, he's lived through many high pressure situations. Disfigured by a bomb while on a mission, he's used to being looked at with pity. When he's called to a local supermarket to assist the local PD, the last thing he expects to find is a generous act of kindness performed by a beautiful, amazing woman. Enchanted by her selflessness in the face of danger and intrigued by her actions to save civilians she didn't know, Dude's hooked.

Dude was able to save Cheyenne from the group of thugs trying to take her life, but when the past comes back to haunt them both, sometimes having the knowledge and the desire isn't enough to beat the countdown of the clock.

Protecting Cheyenne is the fifth book in the SEAL of Protection Series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, but it's recommended you hear the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

    "Good love story."

I'm enjoying the series, these guys are good alpha protectors. I do think "Dude" was a little over the top controlling. The must be home by this time and so on was a little annoying. Other than that he was a great guy.

    "Cheyenne and Dude"

Great story and another strong female character to enjoy. I like all of Susan Stoker's books and haven't read a dud yet.

    Narrator does a good job.

This one has some sex scenes that you may want to listen to without an audience. Earphones recommended.

    "Good book."

The series keeps growing. I like that the author addresses all the crazy things that have happened to the group. She builds on the foundation set in other books, layering the stories.

    "Endearing"
Where does Protecting Cheyenne rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    In the top 20%.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cheyenne was my favorite character. She was courageous and selfless which made her appear very strong. She didn't look for trouble nor did she live in a way that would invite trouble, but she was smack in the middle of it when she met Faulkner.

Which character – as performed by Stella Bloom – was your favorite?

Stella does all voices well, but I particularly like the way she portrayed Cheyenne in this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh at some of the things that went on in Cheyenne's head. She was easy to relate to.

    Any additional comments?

I loved the job this Susan Stoker gave Cheyenne's character. It made her reaction to some of the traumatic experiences she went through even more believable.

    "Not a Bad Thing!"

OK, OK, I have seen and heard " same old same old" , but that is the best thing about this Seal of Protection Series! It has characters that everyone of them I love and can hardly wait to read the next installment . I enjoy trying to figure out the bad guys, and how my Guys are gonna fix it, sometimes it's easy, sometimes not. I love the humor in these stories, which might I tell you the Narrator, Stella Bloom has moved into my top three list of narrators. She is wonderful. I bought all Audible had of this Series, sadly they only have 8 and there are 10 books in the Series...Darn! Now, do I wait for Audible to catch up? Or do I order it and read it on Kindle, I am a weak woman, I will probably be shopping at Kindle soon. So, with plots, characters, and this Narrator, I am saying to you same old same old is Not A Bad Thing. Written by NonasRfun, aka Rita.

    "Thrilling, suspenseful and fun..."

This audio book is exciting, thrilling, suspenseful and even funny all rolled up into one. When Cheyenne gets morphine, she is the funniest woman ever. There was even a few points that made me cry. This book is a roller-coaster ride of emotions from laughing to anger and so on...

The author, Susan Stoker did a fantastic job writing this story. The plot is great and the book is filled with raw emotions and loads of talent, not to mention Hot Seals! The narrator, Stella Bloom dd a great job delivering this book to us flawlessly with multiple voices and accents. It is very easy on the ears and was read smoothly. This is my 2nd audio book by this author and I really enjoyed it! Thanks ladies, great job!

*** I won this audio book "Protecting Cheyenne" by Susan Stoker as a gift in a contest. ***
