Publisher's summary

Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year of high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection; a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate, the other half of his soul.

The problem is, Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy? And will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

great book

Took a bit of time to get used the person narrating it bit loved it overall. Jen didn't sound like she had in my head but it didn't ruin the book for me.

just can't with the narrator

I did not finish. I will try reading it but I am afraid the terrible voices are stuck in my head.

Entertaining

I enjoyed it overall. I at first was not fond of the female characters. I found them to dramatic. I still continue and the story became more interesting despite them.

Like but a bit immature

It’s a very clean book which is very hard to find so that is good! But I probably wouldn’t let my 12 year old read it. More of an older teen book!

Unique and Enjoyable

Quinn has a unique and quite enjoyable take on grey Wolves and love. Her grip on teen American vernacular is far above any I have ever heard or read. Fact is I highly recommend this entire series as I either listen or read it several times a year. Her writing intrigues me and uplifts me even when I myself am going through a difficult time. Her characters meet challenges with courage....yes sometimes they freak out or cry, but then they tackle the problem. it is a lesson for us all. I truly love this entire series!

I just loved it

I have been wanting to read this book/series for a while now, but it’s really long. I decided to bite the bullet and just do it. I’m so glad I did, it’s was a rich full book with characters that are real, relatable and likable. Definitely a must read in my opinion. Now onto book two.

A good start for this series.

Quinn Loftis is full of snarky, witty sarcasm. I was almost startled by how well I could identify with the characters' emotions after Quinn's descriptive insights. Very fun rants that made me lol. Strong female characters who I'm hoping to read about in their own stories soon.
Abby Craden has awesome range, affecting individual, identifiable voices. It is so refreshing to know who is speaking without waiting for literary ques at the end of dialog.
Looking forward to more from both these talented artists.
