After a massacre decimates half his team and leaves him crippled, Jaxon Law must relearn how to fight-and battle the anger and guilt threatening to overwhelm him. But when he rescues a beautiful woman who awakens his primal instincts, Jax is unprepared for the dangers that lie ahead.
On the run from her employer, brilliant lab assistant Kira Locke has evidence that leads the Alpha Pack on a hunt for someone targeting human civilians with Psy abilities. And as Jax and Kira circle both the killer and each other, Jax will have to decide if the deep connection he feels with Kira is worth breaking the ultimate shifter rule-because bonding with Kira means putting his abilities at risk, and they might be the only tools he has to keep his mate alive.

"[Fans] will fall head over heals for the Alpha Pack!" (Angela Knight, New York Times best-selling author)
Probably wouldn't recommend this book, just a story.
Like his other books, but was disappointed in this one. Don't want to buy the next one but in the future probably will.
Tyler wrote it so you would have to get the next book.
This book, and I will assume the series are along the lines of Twiglight. However, this book is not for the teens when it comes to desribing the sex scenes. I may listen to the other books, but no one right after the other. The story line is different, but again it makes me think of Twilight and Fifty Shade mixed up with eachother. Oddly, I read both the Twilight and Fifty Shades series and liked both of them very much. I'm just not sure why this book did not entertain me as much. It might be due to the paranormal aspects of the book. I'm not sure.
I really enjoyed this book. I will definitely add these series on my list for books to watch out.
the Narrator makes the story come alive, Kirsten Potter does a great job
Kira Locke was my favorite character because she was a strong woman and not some cry baby, or poor me character
no have not this is my first audio book
Tell us about yourself!
yes I would. 1st thing kirsten potter has a gift to tell a story. Listen authors and publishers, you may have a good story plot, just know narration is the key to having your books sold and heard. Please take Angela Dawe, Justine Eyre, off the list when you choose a narrarator; it make or break the book.
yes I would but only if kirsten potter or phil gigante, or jim frantione are the narrator. Do the authors not listen to their own audiobook?
she does male and female voices so great. She also does accents so effortlesy. French, Highlander brough voices, Brittish see can do them all. When the action scenes take place she takes you right there, and when it is a sex scene she doesn't make you feel ICKY.
yes, I bought all the books of the Alpha Pack series. I hope there is more.
worth the credit, worthy of the credit.
Absolutely!!! Shapeshifters, hot alpa male, gutsy female, great sex and action what more could you want.
If you like Wards BDB, Lara Adrians "Breed", Nalini Singh "Psy-changeling" or "Angels" this series is definitely for you. LOVED IT>
She does great job. reminds me of Hillary Huber or Angela Dawe great with male and female voices. Does well with paranormal romances.
Did just that with all 3 books. Can wait till next one .
I like the world created by the author. It has so much potential. I didn't like that the story is very simple and predictable, it was very easy to figure out what was going to happen next.
If your into paranormal romance with plenty of macho action, this series is for you.
This installment introduced a great cast of interesting characters, that I'm sure many books will be built on. The comradery of the group is fun to listen to, and the other inhabitants of the compound proves to intrigue. The story not only provides a love story, but builds on the group's mission, leading us right in to the next installment. I would say if you like JR Ward's BDB, then you must give this series a try.
As an avid listener (I drive 10-11 hours daily) I have a number of series that I wait and watch for new releases. I can tell you right now that this will be one of those on the top of the list. There are plenty of changeling books out there, but this one brings a new twist. As our wolf changeling started as a Navy Seal team with some ESP type powers, who after an attack in Afghanistan are recruited to work for the government out of the Wyoming wilderness to help ward off attacks by the non human populations of the world. As with humans, not all paranormal creatures are bad, and our team captures those preying on humans with the hopes of rehabilitation. As always, there is a bad guy, in these books its a corporation trying to manipulate human DNA and create their own changelings.
The characters in our Alpha pack are developing into the characters we love, and some we will always love to hate. I will be listening to the next book soon and hope that JD Tyler doesn't leave us hanging for too long between books.
