"Polished, riveting prose." (Chicago Tribune)
"Ms. Gerritsen is a master!" (Romantic Times)
I don't want to come down on a Tess Gerritsen book because I really love this author, but I didn't care as much for this particular title. I had high expectations because I love her "Detective Rizzoli" books, but this wasn't up to that level. It was predictable and many times, unbelievable. I never really got attached to the characters or cared much for the story in general. I still really enjoy Gerritsen and look forward to listening to The Keepsake.
I was disappointed in this book. I usually love reading Tess Gerritsen but this one was not like her usual writings. It was more of a romance novel than her normal page-turner mystery.
I was only able to listen to the book for 5 minutes before the overly dramatic reading grated on my nerves. I would enjoy listening to the book but narrated by a different person.
No. Shes one of my favorite writers, but this has been my least favorite so far. Just ho hum, and not crazy about the narrator.
Yes, but just not crazy about her.
