Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can't hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.
Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn't even an option.
At least, not anymore.
Dre can't decide who she's going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan's Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she's seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might never be an option.
This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

.....but he has a long road, and journey ahead of himself while he comes to terms with what was done to him, and everything he missed out on while he was gone. Preppy is such a complex character, it's actually going to take three books to tell his whole story. In book two, there's heartache, secrets, pain, sadness, and as he deals with everything, he tries to push everyone away, but his close friends King, Pup, Bear, Dre and others, will not give up on him, or allow him to give up on himself. I missed the old carefree, fun-loving character we've come to love, but as the story progresses we see more of the old Preppy. There are a few surprises, a WTF cliffhanger that will take you by surprise, but I'm anxiously waiting for book three to be released in audio.
Lance and Kirsten both did a outstanding job with the narration. Lance does such an amazing job with Preppy's character. I love it!
For those who have not started the King series, I highly recommend the whole series! (that goes for you too T.H. I know you will love this one...just try it!)
I am obsessed with audio books! My favorite genre is erotica and romance -- there's just not enough hours in the day to enjoy ...
I just can't get enough of Preppy! Usually I'm annoyed with cliffhangers, but this time I will make an exception as long as I can keep getting those amazingly funny words from Preppy. No matter how serious the situation Preppy has got a laugh or two for you. I love that no matter how sideways life goes we can count on Preppy to hold steadfast and look out for those in need. I also love the way the issue of Preppy looking out for his family from heaven in earlier books was addressed -- hilarious! You must listen to the entire series to get the full impact of Preppy and because those books are just awesome. T.M. Frazier has a true fan girl for the King Series and Preppy in particular.
Amazing narrators, Lance and Kirsten kept me on the edge of my seat and rolling in stitches. They set the perfect tone for this part of the series.
Absolutely worth the credit. Get it any way you can as soon as you can.
another great book to another great serues...still my fav. series ever and cant wait for the next book..and that ending...ughh Preppy 3 cant get here fast enough
It's up there in my top picks. I FLOVE Preppy and Lance Greenfield does an amazing job at bringing him to life. Dre wouldn't be Dre without Kirsten Leigh.
Preppy...always. Because of his dichotomous nature. Plus he's so outrageous and funny.
Preppy Part 1. It's just as amazebawls.
OH gosh...without giving anything away...most of Preppy's parts. He's dealing with a lot in this book and his adjustment is far from easy.
BUY the audiobook. GAH! Just do. *sigh*
Yes- because duh audio is always better :) that's if there are good narrators, which this one has
My favorite character was Preppy of course
Yes I have, and though I still don't like Lance for Preppy, he is a great narrator and I enjoy listening to him. Kirsten is great also and did a good Dre
the only extreme in this one is that I was extremely disappointed with the explanation of why Preppy's friends heard his voice while he was captured. No deep revalation, just "I went to a place deep in my mind" and that was it. That was supposed to satisfy our morbid curiosity as to how he could help guide Tia, or talk to everyone else. He was deep in his mind and has no memory of talking to anyone. I was very unhappy with this explanation :(
I was not "hooked" on this book until the last chapter. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong. But I think there was way too much hype and too high of expectations for the Preppy trilogy. Yes I want to hear his story, but it's not nearly as entertaining, or captivating as King, Tyrant, Lawless, and Soulless. I could not listen to this books fast enough. I guess this one just has too many feelings and not enough excitement. Until the last chapter that is. And it's a good thing she through a twist in there at the end or I might not have listened to book 3. So far Preppy's story is my least favorite, and I had high high hopes for it. I thought he would be my fave.
Absolutely love T.m. Frazier.
This books has it all it is gripping, tears, anger, love, lies...all of it. She takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that is called Preppy. Can't wait for the third installment.
