He's been her ultimate untouchable desire.
Nothing says happy birthday like a rock god flying thousands of miles to surprise a woman he's never met. But that's exactly what happens to Gabi Smith when she gives her long distance best friend a flippant invitation to her laid back girls' night out. She never expected to turn on the dance floor and find Blake Kennedy's gaze holding her body captive.
She's his everything and he's never laid eyes on her.
Gabi means more to Blake than life itself. She's his strength, his savior, and the only person who helped to vanquish his demons. No one means more to him than his angel. So when things between them start to sizzle, he's ready to fight for the future he never thought he would deserve.
Skeletons from his past will threaten his only chance at love....
Blake has come a long way - with Gabi's help - to leave the hell of his youth behind him, but sometimes memories don't want to stay buried. Determined to stand on his own for once, Blake is willing to stretch the truth to keep his troubles from burdening the woman he adores.
Little white lies can create black holes in any relationship. Only time will tell if an Aussie with a heart of gold will forgive her bad-boy boyfriend or if the deceit will end his passionate addiction.

I'm a open minded baker 🍰 who spends all night at work 😴 listening to🔥romance book's that take my mind to new exciting places 🏖
This book is worth revisiting my library for. I listened this book as a stand alone because it was gifted to me in exchange for my honest unbiased review. Even though I didn't listen to the first book in the series (blind attraction) I still thought the story was easy to follow. Reckless beats bass guitarist Blake comes from a dysfunctional home where he was unloved, unwanted, and mistreated. After joining the band he meets a fame hungry groupie named Michelle who gets him hooked on coke. While trying to keep his addiction hidden from the band Blake joins an online drug addiction chat where he meets Gabi. Since loosing her twin brother to an overdose Gabi devotes her time to saving others from the same fate. Blake and Gabi strike up a flirty friendship that lasts for several years. When Blake finally travels to meet Gabi the chemistry and passion is off the charts sexy. But once they have to separate Blake starts to pull away leaving Gabi completely confused and thinking the worst. Blake has to decide if he's going to come clean about Michelle (who stands to ruin everything) before he looses the only person he's ever loved. Eden Summers brought plenty of heat and drama with this story. But what really set this book off was the phenomenal narration. Cole and Minors really brought these characters to life and australian accent was very well done. I say this book is defiantly worth the credit..
Absolutely love this book! Love that he fell hard for her before the physical attraction! Can't wait to read abt the other rock gods!
Books are the doors to other places. READ!!!!
I haven't listened to the first book in the series; however, this story was a great stand alone, with no cliffhangers and HEA! Blake is a member of the Reckless Beat band who has worked hard to overcome a drug addiction. He turns towards an online group for support where he meets Gabi through one of the online chat rooms. She's there to listen, support, and help him through the hard times. Gabi's passion to help others overcome their addiction is fueled by the loss of her brother who died of an overdose. Blake and Gabi develop a special friendship that continues for several years, and when they finally meet in person the sparks and chemistry fly. These friends to lovers relationships is going great until Blake's past catches up to him. He wants to handle the situation secretly, so he pulls back from Gabi out of guilt. She senses something is wrong but will she be able to break through his walls before it destroys their relationship? This rock romance was an emotional roller coaster, and the narrators both did a great job! I received this audio book free for an honest review.
I loved this book and I love the Reckless Beat boys.. I am seriously fan crushing on them. Eden Summers is an incredible writer and the way she weaves her characters and her stories around you is unforgettable. Great Book!!!!
Blind Attraction the first book in the Reckless Beat Series. The characters are just so riveting and you find yourself being pulled in that you want to read more and more.
I listened to D.C. Cole in Blind Attraction and I love his reading style. This was my first book done by Josie Minor and I felt they both did the characters of Blake and Gabi so well.
Sexy Rock Star Meets Sassy Woman & Sparks Fly
Eden Summers is simply an amazing author and this series is truly epic. Every book I read from her just makes my love of her work so much stronger. She truly has a talent of pulling in her readers and having them be more than observers to her stories.
Audiobook Addict. It's all about the Listen. Mostly Romance, but I do branch out a bit. Reviews are my honest opinions-popular or not.
I loved this as much as the first in the series. I totally dug the love between Gabby and Blake and how they both really trusted each other from the beginning. Now, of course, there needs to be drama, so enter the ex-from-hell. She's a poor little rich girl you'll love to hate in this refreshing love story set in the world of sex, drugs and rock and roll. It was nice to experience a story where the "dumb move" wasn't "Who the hell would do that?" stupid, and the reaction to it wasn't a ridiculously inappropriate freak out. The love story is a bit fairy-tale-ish while still maintaining a grip on reality. I also love the supporting characters, and I'm intrigued about what might be coming around the bend. I am really looking forward to more in this series!
DC Cole keeps getting better and better. He gives great gritty rock star, though I am sure he is awesome in other genres as well. I loved Josie Minor as Gabby. She was perfect. I liked the two as a team. Their voices complemented each other nicely. Overall, a great listening experience.
I was so excited to get to listen to Blake's book, he was a wonderful character from book 1. He was a fun loving character. Only to get get started on his book and realize that he was not the same person. He is so down on his self and can't seem to let it go. And he calls him self an addict, but he does not seem to be a full fledged addict. For me the excitement and awesome guy from book one was kinda of a let down in his own story. The end does wrap up with him more like the guy in book 1 and over all the book was decent, just not quite as good as book 1 for me.
I enjoyed this audiobook very much, and this second book in the series is well done. This story is about Blake and Gabi, the rockstar who overcame his addiction with the help of a girl from Australia. Reckless Beat is in Australia and Blake travels to meet Gabi in person to celebrate her birthday. They have only known each other over Skype and email, so when Blake first sees her in person he falls head over heels (Gabi already loved him). As they work out their romance and relationship, the sexy is hot and steamy. Can they make it together? That's the question of this book.
The narration on this was amazing! First time hearing Josie Minor and wow! Her and DC Cole were just gold together. I tend to be very cautious with dual narrations because they don't always work for me. When you have narrators that create such realistic and vivid characters, they need a co-narrator to do the same, yet stay true to the characters personality, and match. And, these two definitely did that. Just really good. I really can't say enough about what a great job they did.
I enjoyed this story better than the first, enjoyed listening to the whole thing even when I wanted to shake the characters at times. But, Josie and DC really brought the characters to life and made you like them.
Passionate Addiction is the 2nd book in an entertaining Reckless Beat series by Eden Summers. I loved Blind Attraction (the first book in this series) and really wasn't sure I could like any of the others better. This is a good follow up book.
Eden Summers is an author whom I've read before. Both the narrators brought something special to the story. I would definitely listen to them again. I found this story to be original and I really liked it how long distance friendship led to love. There were some unexpected twists as well. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.
