Though the Mage witch Skye has a gentle heart, demonic forces have enslaved her, forcing her to kidnap Paenther, a powerful and dangerous Feral Warrior. Even chained and naked, Paenther is a cunning prisoner who seduces her, body and soul, turning captive into captor.
Paenther's pride demands revenge against the enchantress who emerged from the deep woods like a sensual vision and enthralled him, even as she makes his body burn with passion. Despite his fury over her treachery, Skye's gentle beauty calls to his soul, calming the wild chaos within him and stealing his heart. But when evil threatens them, Paenther and Skye's only chance at survival is to trust in each other…and the power of love.

"More than anything, this novel takes a deep look at the need to see beyond a person's race and to be loyal to those you love." (RT Book Reviews)
I love losing myself in books of any kind
It's not that I did not like the story because I did. It truly have to captivated me, however the story is really really morbid.
I don't think I would call it so much a romance as a tragic story. Sure there was a romance in it and both of the main characters had their happily ever after but the entire story did not feel is though it was gear towards the faint of heart.
This author seems to have a very dark nature and all almost lens herself itself to some type of brutality. I mean the entire story was based off of two people being raped both male and female, one as an 8 yr old child.
After reading the story I feel like I need a good comedy. Some stories like this at least have some type of comic relief within them definitely not this one. You get no break from the sexual violence, which is not my cup of tea.
I do like the plot and the storyline but I wish the characters had a little more lighter moments of happiness. It's just hard to believe that people can be in love and such an apocalyptic type of environment.
Loved the entire series and would recommend, read in order and the story is great.
Skye's abuse throughout the book was awful. Paenther's wallowing bouts against the mage almost turned me off the book but it really got good. I am enjoying the series
Book 3 one of my favorites so far. I love how the series tells you about 1 character at a time but still falls right in with the story with the other books. Amazing writer, I'm hooked!
I'm so upset about Fox's!!!😱😫😭
I'm so happy for Panther that he fine love, he got his best friend back and him and his animals has FINALLY CONNECTED. I don't trust viper I can't wait for the next book. 😊😊😊😊😊
This was my first paranormal with shifting into anything but a wolf. I purchased this book on sale and so my expectations was low, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how on the edge of my seat and imaginative this book was. There are some scenes that bothered me but that's just because of my delicate sensibilities I believe and without it the book would not have have that air of reality to it. Nothing in life is perfect as we wish to see so those scenes just made the book that much more believable. I liked it a lot.
I like that fact that although it's a series's each story has a unique spin. Only negative comment I would make is I wish our heroes (the Feral warriors) were a little more intelligent. They seem to be a little naive to be hundreds of years old. But even despite this I am enjoying the series.
Sky and Panthers story is powerful. This is by far my favorite in the series for many reasons. Sky is a great character, unbelievably resilient and refreshingly pure of heart.
