Like the narrator

I don't understand all the dislike of the narrator. I like her and think she does a good job. Not as good as the narrators in the first two Demonica-books, but pretty good anyway.

The book itself I think is very good. I like it better than the previous one, but the first is my favorite so far.

This Story Rocks!

There were so many emotional cliffhangers that I felt like I was been tortured instead of Wraith, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was hard for me to breathe knowing that I was trying to make it to the end. I was feeling the pain and agony of every character. All of their love, lust and loss they went through I felt it as an emotional reader (that’s just not me).

The narrators’ voice was not that bad. I think she did ok as Serena. She brought out the youthful essence of the females but not so much the males and that may have thrown many listeners at to the performance value. The story rocks! I love how the writer passionately details the life of each brother and never strays from their relationship to each other.

So HOT! And the story is exciting and addictive.

I love this author so much, the imagination runs wild and I love it. So HOT and romantic and how I wish men like this( besides the demon part) truly existed. Men who still cared this much about their family and their honor... it's so great, the sex is just frosting on a wildly delicious cake! 5 stars!

Hilarious and fun. Wraith finally meets his match

Re-Read Review

It’s best to have read the previous two books to fully understand the characters and the events in this book.

This book takes place several months after the last book. While on a hunt, Wraith is struck with a slow-acting poison that has no known cure. His ever protective and ever growing family fight desperately for a way out of his inevitable expiration date, but the only solution they can come up with is for Wraith to steal the charm off of a charmed individual. That charmed individual is Serena and the way Wraith is supposed to steal her charm is by taking her virginity. Ain’t no thang, he’s a Seminus demon with prowess and skills unmatched by any in bedding a female. This should be a smash and grab job.

I love the way this story unfolded. Wraith is broken by the horrendous treatment of his vampire mother and in the past books he found refuge in drinking the blood of human junkies. Selfish in almost all of his actions, his redeeming quality is his protectiveness of his brothers and their family. In this book his selfish demeanor is evident in his attempt to steal Serena’s charm knowing that she will die once the charm has been taken, but as the story progresses you see this change in Wraith and he begins to care deeply for Serena resigning himself to the death that awaits him so he doesn’t have to steal her charm. This book is packed full of action scenes, more insight into the fascinating world Ione has created and some high running tension between the H/h. The book is also hilarious mainly due to Wraith’s sense of humor. Even the sex scenes had me breathless with laughter as well as, well, you know.

Narration:
Performer: Renée Raudman
Performance:
Unfortunately this series in not narrated by the same narrator, but compared to the other books Raudman does a decent job with this read. My only complaint is that she sort of sounded like an old lady at time and that didn’t fit some of the characters. She did a really good rendition of what I expected Serena to sound like, though so that kind of makes up for it.

The hotheaded bad boy brother has met his match!!!

Wraith has always pretended to care for nothing and no one, including hiding his love for his brothers. He was damaged as a child so he turned himself cold, heartless, so as not to get hurt again. He’s lived a reckless life. Now, he’s dying and the cure is hidden in the form of Serena Kelley, literally. If he takes her virginity he will live but she will die and he finds himself in unfamiliar territory. For the first time in his life he wants to put someone else above himself. She is so gentle, caring, and she calls to him in a way no one ever has. With her impending death how will their spark ever turn in to a flame?

Love this book, but.....

I absolutely love this series and this book did not disappoint! However, I do feel that they could have chosen a better narrator. The other two narrators from the first previous two books did a very good job their voices match the storyline. I feel like the person reading this book didn't vibe with the story/characters. But the Feminist series is a hidden gem that I am grateful for coming across! I would definitely recommend it!

The narrator just killed the book

I would buy this book again if Larissa Ione records it with a different narrator. Simply awful. I love the series though.

Wrong Narrator for this series

What would have made Passion Unleashed better?

Diffrent narrator

If you’ve listened to books by Larissa Ione before, how does this one compare?

enjoyed first two in this series

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Wrong voice for such strong male characters and poor interpritation of the material. The narrators interpritation of the female lead makes the character seem disjointed while the male demon/vampire lead comes off tame.

What character would you cut from Passion Unleashed?

None. I have read the series and enjoyed it.

I truly enjoy Larissa Ione's work...

But I couldn't get past a 1/2 hour of this audio book. This narrator is AWFUL!!!! I have really grown to enjoy this series and am terribly disappointed that they didn't use either of the first two narrators to continue. Heck, they could use anyone but Renee Raudman. Not only could I not identify or differentiate the characters but I found her inflections and accents excruciating. I have never heard any of Renee's other work, but this is a clear indication that in the future I will avoid it at all costs. Save yourself the credit and buy the book itself.
