Great Book
Several of my friends wanted me to read this over the years but I thought the concept was stupid. I had a vacation coming up where I was driveing for 8 hours. I went ahead and bought it for the trip. I LOVED IT!! I could hardly put it down! I would listen to it every chance I got. I then watched the series on HBO, or whatever it is it is on and some of the characters were not right. I will just continue to listen to the series when I get another vacation. It is well worth the time.

Unexpected mix of historical romance & Sci fi
I got this book on a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't sure about it until I got to the second chapter. Then I fell in love with it. There is a chapter describing a torture that maybe too much for some. I couldn't listen to all of it. It was too real for me. However if you can keep perspective it is relevant to the story.

This was a good book with well developed characters. I was ready for it to be over by the end. In summary-he rescues her; she rescues him; they make mad, passionate love. Repeat, repeat, repeat!

Davina Porter is brilliant!
The story was engaging and I loved it- but Miss Davina really brought it to life! Her ability to intonate and keep her accents straight just kept me hooked. (I hear her American accent is actually her weakest one, but I didn't find it distracting at all).
