Wonderful!!!!
This book was so amazing.. Yes it was long but you just have to keep with it. I like to listen to multiple books at once, in different genres. That comes in handy with a book as long as this one. Sometimes the book seems overwhelming and rather than give up, I would just take a break and listen to something else for a while, sometimes I would go a few days before getting back to it. But I am so glad that I kept up with the story it was so compelling, I didn't want it to end. And I haven't bought the second book yet so I was glad that there was a free preview at the end of this book because I wasn't sure that I wanted to buy the next one. Now that I have listened to the preview I will be buying that book as soon as my credits come through.
The love scenes were nice and tasteful....
I would call them sex scenes but it seems more apt to call it love scenes. A lot of the books that I normally listen to are more on the erotic side so those I call sex scenes. The ones in the book weren't as bold as I'm used to but they were good nonetheless, and it didn't detract from the story.
Some people think that time travel is too far-fetched to make a good story...
That is not the case here, I pondered over this book for months debating with myself about getting it. This book is not some crazy back to the future type... Just give it a try, you won't regret it...

Couldn't stop listening!!
The story was fantastic and captivating. I couldnt stop listeninf to it. Any chance I got I had my earphones in. The narrator was wonderful and very consistent as well. Excited to start the next book!

Yes, it is a complete escape!
Have you listened to any of Davina Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I've read the Outlander series, and thought I would enjoy it again to pass my time on my commute to work. I cannot stop listening -- she is Claire to me now :)

Love this book
Would you consider the audio edition of Outlander to be better than the print version?
I have read the book a couple of times and I always have a hard time with the beginning but listening to it I enjoyed it quite a bit more.

Best Series Ever!

Exciting historical fiction!
If this is not a reasonably accurate representation of the Highlands in the mid-18th century, it doesn't matter. It's engrossing and interesting, with good time travel paradox thrown in for good measure!
