The leader of one of South Florida's most notorious and brutal motorcycle gangs has been put to death by lethal injection. Days later, his family and friends should be picking up the pieces, moving on. Instead they've been catapulted into a world so twisted and dangerous that even the most ruthless among them would be stunned to discover the tangled web of deception not only on the dangerous streets of South Florida but all the way to the top.
In this gripping follow-up novel to Nine Minutes, Beth Flynn takes listeners from the sun-drenched flatlands of 1950s Central Florida to the vivid tropical heat of Fort Lauderdale to the halls of Florida's death row as we finally learn the gritty backstory of Jason "Grizz" Talbot and the secret he spent his life trying to conceal.

I just have to roll my eyes and say 'really' when someone writes in a review that the book was not 'realistic'...come on now 'really'!
Through the first book and this book I kept hoping....then BOOM!
I KNEW IT....I KNEW IT...I KNEW IT!
This is NOT a stand alone. You MUST listen to Nine Minutes first.
This is a gritty, violent, sick love story GRIZZ style.
Monique Makena gives a great performance. Absolutely with a credit or $$.
Beth Flynn is an extremely talented writer. The detail and intertwining of this book with Nine Minutes takes an intelligent and complicated mind.
You feel like you are getting so many answers to lingering questions and then you realize you have so many new questions too. Holds my interest like no other book in recent memory.
The relief of the result from the Nine Minutes cliffhanger!!
Only in Nine Minutes and she gives another amazing performance.
Yes and yes. It's not exactly a laugh out loud kind of book- but I definitely smiled, teared up, and everything in between.
I feel like this series can hold the attention of so many different genre readers.

This book wasn't bad. It was well written and well narrated. BUT the story itself was all over the place. It jumped from past to present, jumped from one character's point of view to another and just overall became a bit hard (and irritating) to follow. I kept having to stop and work out what was going on now and who the character was.
I also found all of the characters to be deceitful, self serving, purposefully naïve and generally unlikable.
*** Spoiler Alert*** In particular, I came to find Tommy really repulsive. He was so deceitful and manipulative and as he came clean with Ginny, I could not believe that not only did she stay with Tommy, she fell in love with him all over again. It was sick. I hated that the author tried to portray this as a beautiful, tragic love story. Please.
Then the last 2 hours just made me roll my eyes and think "Yep, I've had enough of this BS."
Monique Makena is a wonderful narrator and she did a fantastic job on this book.
No. I've had enough of these pathetic people already.
couldn't stop listening, so suspenseful, so exciting, kept my heart thumping, trying unravel all the back story, and figure out all the mysteries. best book I've listened to all year. I'm not quite finished yet & I think I just found out there's another book after this one & I am so upset because it's not available yet on audio!!! I am going to die waiting to hear more of this story!!! it's going to kill me to not know the rest.
I was so excited to read Out Of Time and get some things answered after Nine Minutes left me buzzing with questions....but for every question this book answered, I was given another mystery. Beth Flynn is definitely a master story weaver and I can't wait to read the final book in this series.
Narrator Monique Makena did a brilliant job at bring these complex characters to life for me!!
Absolutely loved it. Such an intense love story, thats about human nature of good and bad combined in to one. There is no black and white, good or bad. Just humanity. survival and a choice to live, no matter circumstances. I hope part 3 is coming. it absolutely have to!!!
I love it when a story is surprising and not so predictable as so many of the romance books are.
I would definitely recommend this to any one who loves a different type of romance book that brings out so many emotions
There are so many and I love how it gives so many back stories.
Ginny is so lucky to have 2 men who love her so deeply and even though Grizz is a horrible person to most everyone He is never but loving and tender with Her.
All are great and the narrator does a wonderful job bringing the book to life
The flashbacks with grizz as they made me cry remembering how much He loved Ginny from childhood on and always protected Her.
I can't wait for the last book as I can't get enough of this series.
Beth Flynn is a terrific talented writer.
Loved it! wrapped up so many loose ends...and of course created more. Can't WAIT for the next book!!
Feeding five horses in the morning, I'm listening to my audiobooks. On the tractor dispensing you know what I'm listening to my audio book. Daily brushing of each horse the audio book is running. Only time I shut it off is when I'm walking with the dogs or horses in the woods.
This series and book are not typical romance novels. The author winds and twists and keeps you listening.can't wait for the next book.
"Best trilogy ever"
Loved the twists and turns. Normally order dual narration but this narrator does an excellent job with each character. Hope she writes more novels soon.
"How not to write a sequel"
I was so looking forward the the second book . The first book, nine minutes is one of the best books that I have read. It was thought provoking because none of the characters were appealing although the story was riveting. This book could have worked if the author had decided to re tell the story through a couple of other characters eyes. Unfortunately the decision to jump around the time line with so many people using an ' it made me remember when' technique was not only unsuccessful but also confusing and irritating. I have also taken a dislike to the female lead who really needs a good shaking. Such a pity. The second book needs to be simplified as there are too many twists and the story has now become implausible to say the least
"Fantastic - loved the performance"
I've been putting off reading this book for a while as I heard it was a cliffie, and I try not to intentionally do cliffhangers. That said, it was been burning a hole in my tbr and I finally relented. Thank goodness I did! I really really enjoyed book 1, Nine Minutes, and this book runs parallel with Nine Minutes. Following the dramatic ending in book 1, we see the aftermath of the revelations, and book 2 answers many questions, we have a greater insight into Tommy 'Grunt' and his past. I to Grizz and his past and into the events that happened before, during and after Ginning's kidnapping. We hear the story of Nine Minutes from the 1950's when Grizz was a young boy, through to 2000 after the time that Grizz was executed, all from the perspectives of Griff, Grunt, Ginny, Mo and the Authorities, along with a few more people involved along the way. This book answers so many questions and outs light on so many of the happiness surrounding Grizz, it does however leave you asking a few more. I am so looking forward to reading book 3, A Gift of Time, I just hope I'm not going to be a blubbering mess whilst doing so.
